Our family had a fantastic time at Torch Lake. The cottage was great, a classic cottage feel with all the amenities we needed. Private piece of beach just steps from the large porch was perfect for hours of swimming. Very short walk to the main strip with shops, restaurants and even a wine tasting room. You can't go wrong with this cottage!
Wonderful place right at beautiful Torch Lake. We loved the kayaks, nearby playground and restaurants, fenced yard for our puppy, well-equipped kitchen, and friendly neighbors. Very cute cottage with great porch facing the lake! Wonderful hosts. Thanks for renting to us!
Absolutely darling cottage! The lake views were amazing! This cottage has so much charm and history that you don’t want to leave. The hosts were great to work with and obviously care about their property. They were quick to answer questions and provided everything you could ever possibly need to make your stay enjoyable. It’s close to quaint Alden and Belaire. There is a mooring buoy if you have a boat and want to explore the local lakes. And the porch overlooking the lake!! AMAZING!! Seriously- I can’t imagine a more perfect Torch Lake rental.
The cottage was very charming, the location was ideal, the neighbors were friendly. The only negative was the water had a severe sulfur smell. It made showering and washing dishes not very pleasant. A plumber showed up to replace a filter and said this would take care of it. It improved a little but still not very pleasant.

Hi, Jason! Thanks for your review, glad you had a good time, and sorry you had to deal with our water problems. As of August 2024 our water is (finally) completely fixed! We have a brand new treatment system and our plumber was finally able to get rid of the sulphur smell. We now have delicious and pleasant filtered well water for drinking, showering and dishes.
