Great Place!

Great property and location on the lake. Within walking distance to corner store and restaurant which came in handy. Beautiful outdoor setup with amazing dock, outdoor seating and landscaping. We had an amazing time!

Torch Lake South end

Beautiful views, great location . Outdoor patio was perfect. Kayaks and standup board was great for Going to the sandbar. Plenty of amenities including essentials for the kitchen !

Girls weekend on the Lake

Awesome property/location

When our travel plans got cancelled, we scrambled for a plan B. Wow did we get lucky with finding Z cottage available for our dates. This cottage is perfect with exceptional attention to detail. Nicely appointed and furnished with all the amenities. The location on Torch lake is as perfect as the lake itself.

Great Location for a trip with Friends

Great location. First time at Torch and the adults and kids had a blast. Short stay of only 3 nights and we could've stayed longer! We would 100% rebook this accommodation. Proximity to the store, sandbar, restaurant, etc. was a huge plus. Super clean. Loved the fire pit. Was very easy to hook up our boat to the provided buoys.

Summer Vacation

The house was clean and nicely furnished. The location was perfect, right across from the sandbar. We spent the majority of our time on the patio or in the water. The only negative was that the septic tank was being pumped while we were trying to put everything in our cars for checkout. Other than that, we’d stay again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful house & property. Stayed with our daughter's their spouses & our 4 grandkids 9 yr - 1 yr..House fully stocked house & outdoor area .Beautiful views in the morning with coffee & night for relaxing by the.fire. Could not have loved it more!

My extended family takes a big vacation over 4th of July every year and we pick a part of the United States that we've never seen been before. This summer, we selected Michigan and planned a long road trip from Detroit to Torch Lake to Mackinac Island and on into the U.P. This beautiful lake house was the perfect location to truly appreciate Torch Lake! We watched the sunrise from the back porch and loved how clear and clean the water was off of the dock! We cooked dinners in the well-equipped kitchen and played cards around the adorable kitchen table every night. Everyone loved how big and comfy the beds were and how clean and new all of the furnishings were! (4 teenagers are not easy to please, but none of them wanted to leave after 3 days!) We made so many wonderful memories and count this amazing house as one of the highlights!

We have taken a few family vacations as a new blended family so far - North Carolina, Mackinac, Montana, and now Torch Lake. We loved them all, but this house made Torch Lake our favorite. To be able to sit on the patio and watch the water, the sandbar activity, hear the waves, feel the breeze, and have room to spread out was worth every penny. We would even return here, despite some of us being non-repeaters when it comes to vacations! One note - if you saute anything for any length of time, use both living room and kitchen overhead fans or else the smoke detectors will go off!

Perfect Lake Setting

Everything was perfect about the house with the exception of the lake water temperature. The kayaks were wonderful. Such a quiet location, yet located close to the main road to get to the little towns for shopping, marina for boat rental and grocery store. Beach towels, life jackets (even for our 3 year old grandson) and shampoo/conditioner/soap was supplied. The only thing we did have to supply was paper towel. They had laundry soap and dish soap, coffee and a good variety of spices. The hostess even reached out to let us know a local donut business was having a special on a day that we were there. Book a boat at the same time you book the house. Everything was perfect!

Gorgeous, comfortable, perfect location!

We were in town for the International Firework show in Traverse City and my daughters 7th birthday! We came the second week of September. The high was about 70 for two days and then cooler the rest of the time. With sunshine it was warm enough to play on the beach and my kids loved it! It was so cool to look out the window and see all the boats at the sandbar out in front but yet not hear any loud noise either! It was perfect! We had a bonfire and made s’mores and left the doors open to hear the waves- even when it was cooler. This home is SO cozy, and so perfectly spaced out, that even without hot weather and using the lake the whole time- it’s still wonderful! I have YET, until now, stayed in a VRBO, with the right amount and size of beds in each rooms that make such perfect sense AND were comfortable! Myself, my husband, 2 kids & my parents had so much room without even using all the rooms! It was very clean as well! The two full baths were wonderful and the downstairs tub is very roomy- my kids had plenty of room for a bath. Everything we needed was there, there isn’t anything I could even suggest to add- it’s fully stocked. A big thing for me when I do VRBO’s is I will not rent from a rental company. I only rent from families. I have seen a big difference in the care of the home. The Z family loves this home and it’s well cared for! We hope to visit again sometime, we created great family memories and the location doesn’t get anymore perfect than this! Thank you!

This property was well appointed and thoughtfully equipped. You cannot beat the views. The grounds were beautiful and the lake was a sight to behold. This was our first time to Torch Lake and we will certainly return. Hopefully we can reserve another fantastic week at Z cottage!

Most Beautiful Torch Lake Location

This property is amazing with the best location on torch lake! Very clean and well maintained, the Sandbar is extremely close and watched sunrises from the back patio and dock every morning, so so beautiful! Definitely worth every penny!!!
