Sundog Cottage - Clean & Cozy - EV - Walk to Food & Beach - Fenced Yard for Dog

Stocked with the best and often forgotten essentials so you can arrive as you would to your own family beach house. We want you to be at home at Sundog the moment you pull into the driveway.

Cozy, clean and great vibe! This updated (Solar battery backup) cottage with a modern retro flair is in a very walkable location near the General Store, Coastal Kitchen, and main beach access. It is a sleepier section of the village with pastoral views from the fully fenced backyard and if you go to the far left corner of the front deck, depending on the growth of the trees down there, you get a peekaboo view of the ocean. There's even a doggy door for your (smaller) furry friend.

We've made the most of this sweet cottage, and it has an open feel and romantic, comfortable decor.

Each bedroom has a Queen bed.

Solar back up keeps the power on out here, and you know that's a big giant PERK.

ABOUT DOGS:

We LOVE DOGS (madly, I tell you) and are determined to be able to host them too, however we do have insurance restrictions on breeds (check if yours is a high profile breed), and limit two 2 dogs (3 if they're leeeetle) and 4 people max.

Backyard is fully fenced and secure with a charcoal BBQ grill, and picnic table. The birds are almost always singing here.

Front deck is huge, with Adirondack chairs and a a pup gate to keep everyone contained. We have the beach chairs, towels, umbrella, blanket, toys and all the things to make you happy down there in the sand.

We are clean and peaceful and serene, and hope that is what draws you in to stay with us!

What a delightful time we had at this charming home at Dillard Beach! Our Host, Valerie, was so attentive and answered our questions so quickly! Lovely long weekend at Dillon Beach. The Sunday cottage was conveniently located, clean and well appointed. We loved the afternoon sun on the front porch and the overall zen energy of the place. It was very dog friendly, and Olive the corgi enjoyed her stay as well. Valerie was a practice communicator and her helpful. We would definitely stay again!

This was our second stay at Sundog Cottage and we can’t wait to come back again! Our host Valerie was very welcoming and helpful and gave us great recommendations for our stay. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We loved the little touches like treats left for our dogs and little mint chocolates left on the bedside table that made our stay extra special. The town of Dillon Beach itself is super cute and we loved walking through the neighborhood to get down to the beach. Unfortunately the restaurant in town was closed during our stay, but we got some great food at the general store by the beach for snacks and dinner. The highlight for our dogs was, of course, the beach, and they had such a great time running and playing for our morning and sunset walks!

We had such a great stay at Sundog! The house is super cozy, clean and bright, and has everything you need. I LOVE that the kitchen is stocked with essentials (like olive oil and coffee!). Valerie was an incredible host, communicated with us about everything, and even left surprises for our kids a dog! The location is fantastic - easy walk to the beach and the store. This is one of our favorite vacation spots. Our dog loves the off-leash beach and dog-friendly culture and our kids are either in the dunes or in the water. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Fun fact: We care for orphans and special needs children in India, as well as provide clean drinking water in villages that have none. In this way we peacefully contribute to the world, and your stay with us will contribute there as well.

Sundog is not just a quick "pack it in and turn it over over" vacation rental. We are neighbors, and deeply love our little treasure of a community.
