I have almost all good things to say about my recent stay at this condo. The unit is clean, the appliances work well, and the balcony with a view is great. The host communicates very quickly and is extremely helpful, and check-in was a breeze. Everything you need is included in the condo, including a spare lightbulb we needed when one went out! We thoroughly enjoyed the pools (including the indoor one when it rained) and the quick access to a clean beach. Having the washer and dryer in unit was a huge bonus and made our stay that much easier!The only complaint I have is related to parking, and this is nothing to hold against the host. The building's parking garage is tight with concrete pillars in most spaces and very narrow shared ramps up and down. I only mention this to suggest if you are staying here, do not rent a Suburban or similarly large vehicle. The parking in no way would dissuade me from staying with this host at this condo again.

Weekend Get Away

Have stayed at Avista Resort many times, however it’s the first time through FRBO. Condo was perfect for the two of us, plenty of room. The weather was perfect too! We were able to enjoy all the amenities of Avista without going through the resort directly. My only suggestion would be to leave guests with directions for using the television. With all the streaming options these days plus standard channel selections, it was a little frustrating to find certain channels. This however did not have a negative effect on our stay. We had a great time!!!

DIRTY!!!!!

Couch and chair were full of sand and food crumbs, same with floors and table. 1 of the beds sheets had hair and sand all in the bed. Was advertised with a pull out coach which it didn’t have. Also, there were no sheets for the Murphy bed. Maintenance man brought “clean” sheets at 12:30am but the smelled horrible. Only response from property manager was “ sorry for the inconvenience, we will talk to the cleaners”. Do not rent from Big Fish Properties, check their google reviews and the 50 open complaints with the BBB!!!!!

Decent condo

The condo was decent. It wasn't filthy, however it wasn't as clean as I would have expected. There were dirty pans in the cabinets, the coffee pot wasn't cleaned, and there was food under the table. I know they say you can call and they will have someone come clean it to your standards, but after a 10hr drive with 2 kids...you kinda just want to relax and unpack some. I cleaned it. We found out on the 3rd day that the washer in unit did not work. I ended up looking up a manual for it and figuring out the door locking mechanism was broken. I contacted the manager and she said they couldn't get the part, and wouldn't be able to be fixed. So I had to pay to use guest laundry at the resort. (Which in unit laundry was one of the biggest reasons I booked here). We did enjoy our vacation and the resort is gorgeous...just wish our unit would have been as promised.

Family Vacation

We were very excited to stay beachfront! The view was beautiful from the balcony. It was windy all week making powerful waves but also cool evenings to enjoy the short walk to Main Street’s shops. All staff was very courteous, so we enjoyed the resort’s pools, restaurant and lounge. The unit could use an update as some things did not live up to the photos. However, the price was reasonable so one could expect that the cost per night might increase upon putting in new mattresses and furniture. Additionally, it was not a bad drive to Myrtle Beach on our outing day as there are plenty of places to do family activities- just be prepared to spend some cash!

When we started looking for investment properties, we considered Myrtle Beach and found affordable oceanfront properties combined with fun amenities like pools, hot tubs, and perfect views of the Atlantic Ocean. We love Myrtle Beach because the palm trees in the pool area give a tropical feel, without going too far from home. We have one little girl and our condo is our other pride and joy. I am excited to help you have a perfect vacation and hope our condo can accommodate your needs. I want your experience to be perfect and would love constructive feedback to make your vacation even more enjoyable. My husband provides our website and advertising for our family business and I supply all the comforts of home. Our time is spent planning our next real estate purchase, building websites for clients, working out, playing with our daughter, reading, and cooking new recipes. When we get a few days to ourselves, we head down to Myrtle Beach to relax and enjoy.
