We loved the house. Our tween-aged boys loved the easy access to the lake for fishing. All of us loved the location and the proximity to waterfalls, the sliding rock, and great hikes. Definitely a 10 in our vacation books!
Great location and family-friendly. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. You are steps from the national forest, but also within a short drive to stores.

Hi Gene,
I wanted to address your grievances as I was disappointed by the first and only negative review ever posted of our property. I’m sorry you had a bad experience with check in. We have an electric keypad and I send very clear instructions beforehand on how to operate it. When I was notified of your struggle getting in I sent someone to open the door for you immediately.
As far as the negative review for cleanliness due to the complaint about our towels smelling…the towels were freshly laundered right before your arrival. They were washed in a non toxic, lavender scented laundry detergent. Perhaps lavender isn’t for everyone.
We take great pride in making sure our home is clean and that our guests have everything they need in order to have a stress free and relaxing mountain vacation, which is why when you contacted me that you couldn’t find dish soap, within minutes we delivered dish soap to your doorstep. Every single phone call, text and question you had during your stay regarding where things were located, how to access the WiFi, etc. was answered immediately.
Again, apologies for the brief delay in getting into the house. Hopefully your entire stay wasn’t affected by this hiccup.

We enjoyed our stay so much! Such a cute and quaint little mountain house! Owners were so kind and easy to reach with questions. We will definitely be back!
We went looking for a place to relax and enjoy being outside. This place was amazing. It was quiet. The porch was the highlight of the trip. It was big and spacious. I highly recommend.

Thank you Margaret for staying and for your review. We hope you and your family will visit us again!
Place is very clean, and in a great location. For sure would stay there again. Host was always communicating and letting us know of any issues up front. Told us about broken grill before we booked to ensure we would still want the place, and it was fixed the first day of our stay as well which wasn't even promised. Shows they truly care about the guest!
We absolutely loved this mountian house!!! It’s tucked an away in a very cute neighborhood that has a stream running through it and a pond that the kids can fish or swim in. Just walking around the neighborhood is a kids paradise! The house itself is wonderful. It is very comfortable and accommodating!! We loved the outdoor porch- it has a huge dining room table out there so it’s great to have a nice meal or sit outside and play games. The rocking chairs are also a great touch so you can just rock and enjoy the mountain air. The house has a fully equipped kitchen so if you want to make all of your meals at the house it’s definitely do able. The sleeping arrangements are also very comfortable. We came here with our two kids and they loved the bunk bed room!! This house is definitely do able for multiple couples too since there is a whole downtowns bedroom and separate bathroom that we didn’t even use. Having the wash machine was very nice since my kids clothes were a little messy from all of the hiking and outdoor activities that we did while we were there. Megan is a great host and got back to me asap when I had a question about check-in. She is also very knowledgeable about the area and had some kid friendly activity suggestions which I greatly appreciated. I’m definitely going to book this house again in the summer and then hopefully again in the fall to see the leaves change! It’s a great house for all year around. We loved it so much and can’t wait to come back.
The cabin was perfect for our needs! It's an idyllic setting - you feel like you're in a tree house in a rainforest (because you actually are). It's a beautiful neighborhood to walk and enjoy. The cabin is well appointed and easy to live in.
