I'm going to be specific in this review so that future tenants can determine if the issues have been resolved. Contacted Owner at midnight to get entry code, dirty vents, smelled like sewer for 1 of our 2

We had a great time at this cottage. It was spacious and for the most part clean. Fishing was great for us which was our hope! We enjoyed using the kayaks. The furniture was nice and bedding clean. The bathroom was also nice and clean. There were a few little issues but they did not take away from our stay in any meaningful way. Definitely be prepared to bring your own beach towels; paper towel; laundry detergent, bathroom trash bags; and kitchen trash bags. If you have toddlers & infants do a little babyproofing (I've found that part standard in every rental - here there were sliding doors that would have been easy for a motivated child to open and sneak out). Also, the picture makes it seem like there is as long dock on the property, but that one seems to be for the adjacent property. There is a short dock with a utility-type box on the end of it, but we had great success catching fish off the dock. I agree with another reviewer that it may be helpful to note that at least for the latter part of the year, the portion of the lake this property has direct access to isn't great for swimming. Overall, we had a great time here, there just may be a few kinks to work out to get this to a 5 star rental.
Our group of 3 couples really enjoyed our time staying here. One of our friends brought a boat to use on the lake which we did every day. The dock wasn’t ideal for his boat but should be good for fishing boats without deeper hull and pontoon boats, but boat launch was close by so we just took it in and out each day, so worked out fine for us. Access to the lake comes from channel the house is on not on main part of lake. All in all we had a great weekend and had great hosts that were very accommodating with our stay.

Vacation
The inside was nice. As soon as we arrived there was ants on kitchen counter, I thought well it was raining when we arrived so maybe that was why. Not the case had them all week. There was no regular coffee pot a Keurig only. My family of 4 stayed 5 days. There was only 4 bath towels. Granted there's a washer & dryer but you need to bring your own detergent. The outside definitely needs a deep power washing. Bugs, spiders & cobwebs caked on all entryways. No outside grill utensils. We took kayaks down to the river & floated one day. The cottage is on a channel that looks like a swamp. Okay to fish, but no swimming. I think you should be more informative in your description.
