Wake up to peaceful lake views at Island View Retreat, sip your coffee on the deck, and spend your days swimming, boating, or relaxing by the water. This cozy lakefront home sits directly on all-sports Pettit Lake and offers private dock access, spacious outdoor decks, and everything you need for an easy, memorable getaway. Whether you’re here to unplug or play all day on the lake, this is the perfect place to settle in.

Inside, you’ll find a bright and cozy living space with lake views, comfortable seating, and an open layout that makes it easy to gather with family or friends. The home features three bedrooms and one full bathroom, comfortably sleeping up to seven guests. The lakeside primary bedroom offers beautiful views and a bonus sleeping area that’s perfect for kids or extra guests

Step outside and enjoy multiple wrap-around decks overlooking the lake — ideal for morning coffee, outdoor meals, or winding down after a day on the water. With your own dock, you can bring your boat, kayaks, or paddleboards and enjoy direct access to the lake anytime

The spacious yard offers plenty of room for outdoor games, lounging, and enjoying Michigan summer evenings. A carport and storage space make it easy to store gear and lake toys during your stay.

To respect our neighbors and maintain good relationships within the lake community, please remain on the Island View Retreat property during your stay.

When facing the lake and looking away from the house, you will see a garden fence near the shoreline to the right of the dock. This fence marks the boundary between our property and the neighboring property. Guests must stay on the left side of this marker at all times and should not enter or use the neighboring yard, shoreline, dock, paddleboat, or waterfront area.

We enjoyed our stay immensely, and everything about the property. The cleanliness was top notch (enough to satisfy three 70 year old sisters), the kitchen was well appointed and we appreciated the especially good quality linens. The fire pit, decks and charcoal grill were an added bonus. And the view is spectacular!!Thanks for the great stay.

Clean, beautiful view, Clear communication with Zach when I arrived. Use of kayak and paddle boat very generous. Great sleep in the master bedroom overlooking the lake with the breeze blowing in... and my dog loved it. I would definitely rent it again. Thanks, Zach!

Everything was even better than expected very clean and nice. We had an amazing time and will definitely be back again. Really wish we could've enjoyed the house and being by the water a little bit more. We took the kids to Michigan adventures.. Zach was very attentive and answered my questions. Zach was very helpful and friendly. He responded quickly to questions. The home was perfect- clean and well stocked. The view was amazing and the water clean. A bit of a hike to get down to the lake but steps are spaced nicely. Lots of outdoor areas to choose from - side porch, front porch, firepit area, halfway down patio and directly on the lake! My husband, dog and I enjoyed our stay. We had overnight guests and we had plenty of room. Accomodates 7 people without a problem. Great location close to Newaygo which has grown into a cute town with shops and restaurants. Five Stars

The house is very cute. Our family had a nice stay. The kitchen was well equipped and the K-pod selection met everyone's tastes. Zach was very responsive to a little blip we had while trying to connect to the internet. He had us online in a single call. The signal was strong and my kid was able to complete an online exam and assignment. I would highly recommend this property. We are hoping to come back in the summer and enjoy the lake.

What a great property! The view is beautiful, it's very quiet and relaxing. All amenities were there and we wanted for nothing. We have a big family and everyone was comfortable. The kayak was a treat for my daughter. The kids loved playing bean toss. We cooked and found the kitchen well stocked. The beds were all comfy. We drank the provided bottled water and never ran out. Everything was very clean. We loved the birds. Our host was so accommodating! Thank you Zach, for having us! We will be coming back.

The house was very clean. When asked questions to host quick responses. Had plenty of supplies like firewood, towels and paper products. The location was very close to the town. All the guests were happy with the fire pit and deck area.

My sisters and I (aka the pink ladies) enjoyed our stay very much. Zach was very responsive to all my questions. The cottage was exactly as stated. Very clean and very well stocked with all your needs. It is so quiet and comfortable there. We are definitely hoping to go back.
