Thank you for taking such great care of our space. We would welcome you back anytime!
My family had a wonderful time! Between swimming, fishing, sitting by the bonfire and just enjoying the beautiful view of the lake. Our Grandkids loved the sandy beach and the paddle boat and hunting for frogs along the beach. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and was supplied with everything you need.
Thanks Heidi for fun vacation
We had perfect weather to relax and enjoy a great three day stay. We fished, biked and explored Tomahawk (very close by).
Heidi was very responsive. The cottage was clean, spacious and fully equipped with essentials.
We would love to come back! Thank you!
Great property on a nice quiet lake. We really enjoyed all the room and wonderful cabin decor in the house. The house was laid out well for us with teenagers to enjoy the downstairs and us to have privacy upstairs. Heidi was awesome to communicate with. Definitely would go back
Had a great time at the Muskie Barn. Held a 1960/70s themed party with the family mid-week. Great fun. Swam. Fished. Hit Bootleggers, Nachos and Billy Bob’s. Visited Minocqua and shouted “Yo Hoooo” at the Lumberjack show in Woodruff.
Perfect for families of all ages! They had so many accommodations for my 1.5 year old, saved on packing! The water was perfect for her. Water shallow enough for her to run around. Fish all over! Adults got away in the lake. Close to many restaurants. Definitely would recommend! Lots of space to enjoy the outdoors!
Would love to visit again!
Overall, it was a positive experience. If I had to be negative about one thing, it was parking we came up to UTV, parking was a little tight. Would definitely stay there again, especially if I was fishing or wanting to fish a peaceful nice setting on the lake in the Northwoods.

Thanks Kyle. We just made changes to our parking area; removing the small berm, all tree stumps and putting a protective barrier for our septic field. I hope this helps future guests.
Enjoy the fall!
We absolutely LOVED the Muskie barn on the lake! Literally had everything we could possibly need. Three generations of our family stayed there together and there was something for everyone. Heidi is an awesome host, responsive, helpful and prompt.
We enjoyed swimming, paddling, fishing, cooking, game nights and fires by the lake with an amazing view. Lots of family meals shared and cooked in the well stocked kitchen, lovely walks in the quiet surrounding neighborhood. Super comfy beds, felt like we were sleeping on a cloud. Hiking the Bear Skin State trail, ice cream at the Windmill, seeing the loons and paddling were some of our favs. Lots of fun little taverns in the area if that is your thing. Really perfect for our family, we had a wonderful time and plan to come back next summer, Thank you so much!
The house was wonderful, clean plenty of extra things to do for the kids! Having the sandy frontage was wonderful also, as the kids spent most of the afternoons playing in the lake

I’d love to share a bit about myself! I’m a mother of two curious boys who keep life exciting. I’m also an author of a gluten-free baking book, which reflects my passion for creating delicious treats. Hosting in my home brings me joy; I strive to make everyone feel comfortable and welcome. In my free time, I enjoy knitting, working with leather, making shoes, and even dabbling in pottery. Additionally, I’ve been a realtor since 2005 with Madison and Northwoods brokerages, which allows me to connect with people and help them find their perfect homes. I look forward to creating a warm and inviting experience for my guests!
Why they chose this property
I chose this neighborhood because it offers a breathtaking natural beauty that captivates me daily. Each morning, I’m greeted by the rising sun casting a golden hue over the lake, which acts like a mirror reflecting the surrounding trees. The tranquility here is a welcome retreat, allowing me to enjoy activities like fishing and swimming amidst the serene environment.
What I love most about this place is the harmonious blend of quietude and community spirit. The sounds of eagles soaring overhead and the enchanting calls of loons create a peaceful soundtrack to my days. Additionally, the town exudes a sweetness with its charming local shops and restaurants, where wild rice is a beloved staple found everywhere. This combination of natural splendor and community warmth makes it a truly special place to call home away from home.
