The house and property were as described with a beautiful view of Lake Michigamme. We were there at an ideal time with the leaves in full color just before they started to fall. They have a beautiful front porch jutting from the house where you can sit and view the lake or you can walk down a set of stairs to the lake and their dock for a lakeside view or if you have a boat. You have a beautiful view of the lake and several islands in the lake that you may not even be aware are there until you arrive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and it came at a perfect time of year at the end of September to see all the leaves in full color. They also take pets which is really nice.

Nothing short of AMAZING!

Pam and Chris were excellent -- super helpful and communicative. The place was spotless and exceeded expectations. We had an amazing trip and it was the perfect place to stay for any family. Lake Michigamme is gorgeous!

Great place to stay. The house is fully equipped. Has been updated inside. The kitchen has everything and all newly equip. Spices are up to date. The Sauna is amazing.Chris and Pam are great hosts. I highly recommend staying. Thank you!

Don't forget the fishing pole!

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights with our 4 month old and my parents. We loved it. Every night we fished off the dock and snagged a few pike. The location is private and peaceful, the place was spotless. Definitely will be going back!

Wonderful getaway

This property was even better than the pictures. We had a wonderful time. It is private and relaxing. Not too far from town. The host was amazing and responded promptly to any needs. Also had a book with information about the local area. We really enjoyed staying here and would definitely recommend.

great place in perfect location

this place is beautiful. the setting is amazing- watching moonlight on the lake after a sauna and dip was a favorite bedtime ritual. the place is spotless and comfortable, nice furniture, well accoutered kitchen. loved the wrap around porch and the stairs down to the lake; beautiful sauna as well. perfect.

Beautiful cabin and location

This was a beautiful large cabin tucked in a beautiful, deep, wooded area that I love. Very much appreciate all the details. This host obviously puts much thought, and care into this lovely Cabin. Thank you so much! Highly recommend!

Roose's Roost was the perfect home base for our UP adventures! The house was immaculately clean, well maintained, and outfitted with all of the items to make it feel like home. The deck was amazing- we enjoyed the swinging chair and the gas firepit especially. The lake was beautiful and deep enough to jump off the end of the dock. Our hosts were very helpful and easy to get in touch with. If we ever travel back to the UP, we would definitely book Roose's Roost again!

Vacation at Lake Michigamme

It was a very successful week at Lake Michigamme. The house was very clean and well furnished. The bathrooms were newly made and the kitchen was well equipped. We lacked nothing. The hosts were very warm and helpful, thank you very much!

Home away from home

Felt just like being at home here at the lake house. Everything from the decor to the tidy house to the first aid kit were on point! Jumping off the dock into the lake was the highlight of the trip for our kids. Pam and Chris are kind and welcoming - it was refreshing to meet these lovely hosts.

Serene Lake Housr

We had a great time at the house. The house was incredibly clean, had everything we needed including a great wood fired sauna. There are a considerable amount of stairs from the house to the dock and lakeshore, keep that in mind if you don’t do well with stairs and still wish to spend time on the water.

A little piece of Heaven

So Clean!.. tastefully decorated. Comfy beds with luxurious comfy bedding.The view of the lake out of the windows is lovely. The bathrooms are completely remodeled.The owners carefully kept some family heirlooms and incorporated them into a gorgeous updated cottage in the woods. Would definetely book this again. Amenities are many!.. didnt use the sauna this time,but would like to of tried it!

Roose’s Roost

Roose’s Roost was the perfect cabin for our Fall trip. I wanted to see fall foliage and we didn’t even need to leave the camp for that. The yard was great size for the dogs to run around. We didn’t make it to Chris’ suggested hike to the sandy beach because of rain but maybe next year. The cabin was great, exactly what we needed. Thank you to Chris and Pam! Maybe we’ll see you next year!

Cozy treasure in the woods with a beautiful view!

If you are looking for a quiet, woodsy, lakeside cottage then this is the place for you! The home is well maintained, very clean and the property owners have thought of everything! There was nothing we could think of that wasn’t provided to us. They are also very nice people and were communicative throughout the booking process & our stay. The home is cozy and welcoming. There is a beautiful view from the back deck and a cozy screened in porch. We didn’t use the Sauna while there, but Chris had cut wood for us and had it all ready in case we wanted to. We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you!
