This is a very cute older home and a nice older neighborhood. It was clean, comfortable plenty of room a little yard for your pets and washer and dryer.
Air conditioning downstairs was amazing! Upstairs was a little warm for July in Abilene.
Overall I would stay here again.
Great TV with plenty of things yo watch.
Wonderful place. Great kitchen and dining area. Nice laundry room too. Family room nice but the couches are very deep seated and low. They are not comfortable and difficult to get off of. The three bedrooms upstairs are nice as is the bathroom. The beds aren’t very comfortable and again very low to the floor and hard to get out of. Once you get out of the bed walk carefully as stubbing your toe is a given as they are situated very close to the wall. There are no dressers in the bedroom so you won’t be able to unpack so be prepared to live out of your suitcase. We would stay here again if need be. As far as low check in goes the door pad lock wouldn’t work so we use a very temperamental key the entire time that the maintenance man brought over. Trash can was full so we had to wait until I guess trash day to have room for our trash. Information book should tell what days are trash days. A painter came to paint outside rails and left his uncovered paint cans a five gallon bucket of dirty water and part of the house still papered and taped for at least two days as we checked out and they were still there. A sheet rock person came the day we checked in and if he got paid he got paid, for as far as we could see, for doing absolutely nothing. Like I said we would consider this place if ever coming back for an extended period of time. Owner quick to respond to our needs. Queen mattresses don’t do well on a full frame and the taco effect left better at Taco Hell.
We stayed at this property with my sister & her husband while in Abilene for a family funeral. The listing was misrepresented - 3 bedrooms (1 king & 2 queens) - instead 2 queens & a full. The downstairs looked like the pictures, but that’s where the similarities ended. NO top sheets or blankets provided or available in 2 bedrooms. 1 queen bed collapsed the first night. When we removed the mattress, the “bed slats” were flimsy fence slats, splintered & broken. We had to sleep on the mattress on the floor & were exhausted the next day at the funeral. The next night we had to sleep on the uncomfortable couches. Refrigerator ice maker was broken. Back door would not stay closed unless bolted. Paper curtains on French doors to backyard. No coffee maker – just Keurig. No iron & we were there for a funeral & relied on this. No handrails at the top of the stairs. Stairsteps painted black & hard to see at night. No hand towels in either bathroom. Upstairs bathroom was dirty –used handcloth left in the shower & dirty stained rag on the floor behind the toilet. Upstairs bathroom blinds that faced the street would not close –had to cover with a towel for privacy. I reached out to the host about the broken bed & other issues & told him I had pictures of everything. He did not respond to my message until we were on our way home. He didn’t want to see the pictures – because he knew the house was substandard. Instead he thanked me for “understanding.” I do not understand.

Good visit
House was not completely clean. Listing could have been clearer on levels of house. Rooms were good through.
The house was exactly as described in the listing. We had plenty of space. Great to have a fenced in yard when traveling with dogs. Good communication and quick responses from the host.

Corner House Historic
Home had some construction in progress but nothing that affected the stay. Comfortable home with interior remodeled and convenient to everything we needed in Abilene.
If one has balance issues, I dont recommend the property due to being an older home. Downstairs and upstairs one can feel the unevenness. The house has been updated nicely. Contacted owner for entry code upon arrival and response time was within five minutes. Very clean place.
House was just as advertised and a perfect stay for our family! We also needed a late check out time and our host was gracious to grant it for us last minute!!
It’s in an older neighborhood that looks like investors are trying to fix up. Cute house that met our needs. Mattresses are firm! A little too firm for us but it was ok.
We stayed for one night and had a good experience. Basic amenities were included, but I do wish the beds and linens were more comfortable. The place had everything we needed otherwise.
Comfortable and spacious, blocks away from McMurry University
Quiet, spacious; great place to relax while visiting our daughter at school. Home has lots of history and has been updated to make it quite comfortable. Great hosts!
Overall it was perfect for us!! Super cute and clean!

Why they chose this property
This property accommodates many people with plenty of space and privacy for everybody. It was laid out with homeliness in mind allowing people to utilize the comfortable couch and love seat to watch tv or do their work. You can cook meals with the open concept dining/kitchen, or you're a close drive to all of Abilene. There's plenty of parking at the house and privacy.
What makes this property unique
Very spacious, antique of a house.
