"The Folly" is conveniently located to downtown Carmel, the Carmel Mission, the Mission Ranch restaurant and just a brief walk to the Mission Trails Park, or perhaps even a longer (but enjoyable!) walk around the coast via the Meadows Trail to Point Lobos State Park. Built in 1965 by the owners, it is a one-of-a-kind custom-built open beam post adobe cabin offering an open floor plan (split level). The upper level is the bedroom and bathroom, which overlooks the lower level of the living room, dining area, a kitchenette/bar with a sink, refridge and microwave (no cooking allowed under local regulations!). Quiet (guest "quiet time" is from dusk to dawn), private, romantic, and outside the porch overlooks a large and secure private yard for the kids (or doggies) and is uniquely Carmel. Furnished with fine antiques, books, glassware, and many other amenities, the Folly anticipates everything you might need for a special stay. Clean, quiet and cozy, the Folly offers maximum privacy and space, including secure off-street parking, a large lawn area and private patio. You won't find anything quite like it for a truly unique and conveniently located accommodation while visiting Carmel-by-the-Sea.
