This house is located in the heart of Amish country. Unique home with large deck with views of the 15 acre forest and the West branch of the Octoraro river. It is stocked with trout. You can walk for miles up and down the public access river. Very quiet property. The master bedroom is a must see. Bring the family and play in the river and nature.

2022 Vaca with the Greens

This was a fabulous property with remarkable views and extreme comfort. Plenty of space inside to relax and plenty of space outside to relax. Very comfortable beds and very clean overall.

Anniversary getaway

Cozy cottage, relaxing and quiet. Adorable porch cat. Beautiful and well equipped kitchen. Would rent again.

Great Location

It was a little creepy coming in on secluded gravel roads after dark, but once we were there, the quietness was great. :) The creek is lovely, and the house was just what we were looking for.

Quiet Relaxation

The house was beautiful and secluded. My wife and I enjoyed being able to relax in the quiet. I was able to get a hold of the owner and manager of the property very easily. I would suggest putting a little more info on the rental page, especially if there is going to be a cat living on the porch.

Beautiful and peaceful

First off the pictures of this property don’t do it justice, it was way more beautiful than the pictures show. It’s perfect for people who’s ant to visit Lancaster, the downtown area and outlets are within 30 minutes. The outside cat was great she will greet you and follow you around outside. We will definitely be back.

Great place for a family getaway

The place was beautiful, inside and out. Our 3 year old son immediately claimed the chase in the master bedroom as his bed, so we didnt even need to bring in his cot! Close to attractions in lancaster but off on a beautiful private property. We were able to come back and enjoy a relaxing night as a family after long days, and spent some time outside on the deck admiring the view. And the outdoor cat was an added bonus we didnt expect. My son for sure misses him!

Boondocks

Outside appearance of the property turned us off. We didn’t feel comfortable or safe staying there. We ended up renting a hotel. Going into the property down the driveway it’s not a finished driveway has holes on the floor. I have an SUV and my car was sliding all the way down to the house. Overall appearance of the outside of the house is not good. We were told by the cleaning lady that we had to be careful with the deck because it was slippery and that there is a person that stays on the other side of the house. I talked to the owner through the app and explained everything to him and he answered me back. The minute I asked if he can return part of the money he stopped answering me. Don’t do the mistake that I did, I did not take pictures or a video which I should have. VRBO cannot do anything unless you have a video and pictures.

The property was beautiful and idyllic and the house itself is just a marvel. I couldn't recommend this place more and Easton was an unbelievable host with quick responses and kindness. Absolutely perfect in every possible way.

Wow

We had an amazing experience at this property. It was very romantic, close enough to the attractions but secluded enough where we could have intimate encounters throughout the weekend. The views from the deck and windows were amazing and the amenities were amazing. We would love to come back at some point and get a chance to explore the land. We would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Country seclusion

A beautiful home on a beautiful piece of property. Quiet and out-of-the-way and only 20 to 30 minutes drive to points of interest. I’d suggest arriving in daylight, to enjoy the beautiful farms and scenery. Arriving at night can be a little spooky. Comfortable and clean. Would definitely recommend as a getaway.

Tranquil Birthday Weekend

The house was lovely and the views from both floors were breath taking this time of year (fall). The home was cozy and the kitchen was well stocked and organized, which is a plus for me since I love to cook. My three year old son loved it too, especially all the great taxidermy and the beautiful grounds.

Such a great time!

Such a great time staying at the property. The house is so beautiful 😍 and the master bathroom was like a spa room. It was great. My kids loved the bathtub too. We were welcomed by the sweetest little cat that stays at the property( the owner left us a note about her) she's so sweet. My son loved her. We fed and played with her while we stayed at the house. The house was fully stocked towels pots pans silverware etc. Perfect for a vacation with kiddies. Beds were very comfy and relaxing. The AC definitely works great , on those hot 90 degree days it was nice to come back to a cool climate.i loved the outdoor string lights so pretty at night. My husband and son loved walking down to the creek and fished and went on a nature exploration. My son loved it,(4 years old) has his bucket boots and net and was ready to go. We even had a visit from a huge frog! Lots of fun. Alot of great memories were made! Thankyou for having us at your beautiful home ! Only con I'd say was the bugs alot of spiders( outside only ) ! Ha but the house is secluded on 15 acres of trees and greenery so I guess the outside bugs are an impossible thing to rid of.

Stay with a beautiful view

My stay was great and very much comfortable. The property is lovely and the views were beautiful! I would only callout 2 things and make 1 suggestion. The bathtub and toilets needed cleaning but I always pack cleaning items anyway, so all good. The driveway is long with several different spots of potholes (might be a good idea to fill with tar) because at night it's not so easy to see them. Suggesting you do a ceiling fan upstairs since the heat was pretty intense on the 2nd level and/or have several mobile fans available. The one you had was great but wasn't sufficient for the rooms upstairs. I would stay here again though!

Amazing

The house is beautiful inside and out . The property is amazing and well maintained. I love how the river runs through the property , it's good fishing . No one bothered us . It was the best 4th of July I've ever had. If your looking for seclusion and not to be bothered this house is a must .Super comfortable king bed in master and an awesome rain shower .Upstairs walk-in rain shower with tube doesn't have curtains over the windows and neither do the windows in the bathroom , changing room or master bedroom. But honestly that didn't even bother me because you're in the middle of nowhere surrounded by nothing but trees. All in all I give the property a 5 out of five and the owner a five out of five. This is the best property I've ever rented on Verbo
