Retreat

We booked this property since we had a wedding nearby. It is a lovely spot right on the ocean, with its own cenote. The place was private, clean, and had ample space for a large family or group of friends. Many beds available, A/C, swimming pool, options for chef and babysitters. Not super luxurious but that's not that the place is about. Would definitely recommend it, and may even look to book it again in the future.

The house needs a lot of cleaning and repairs.

Beautiful Landscaping the beach is nice. But the house. Oh my God. All the Kitchen tools are old and not enough. There’s bugs in the house. And the worst thing, the bedding It’s so nasty there was a pee odor and spots. Definitely they need to work a lot in the house. In order to rent it.

PARADISE FOUND!

Five stars is not enough! Location location location!!!! Essentially a private white sand beach, crystal clear water, beautiful flora and fauna! Scenery was straight out of a movie. The caretakers were amazing. We came back from a long day on Isla Mujeres and they had picked coconuts from the trees on the property, husked them so that the fresh coconut water could be drunk! Bonus they were in the refrigerator so ohhhhhh soooooo cold and refreshing! Truly next level care for our party of 12! If you are looking for a private beach getaway hidden in the jungle with all the privacy, security and comfort…..this is the place! Can not wait to come back to paradise!!!!!

Beautiful grounds and location. House needs work.

We loved the large grounds and the convenience of the extra large pool and the ocean in your back yard. The location was private and quiet. It entertained our kids for the whole week. The house is a different story. It is large with lots of rooms and bathrooms, but the kitchen is very small and not really equipped for cooking and serving food. The washer/dryer didn't work. When it rained there were several leaks in the walls and ceiling. The water pressure in several bathrooms was so bad we only used 1/2 the showers. With some paint, repair and updating, the house would really shine. We did enjoy ourselves and appreciated the outdoor experience. If you don't have someone who speaks in your group it would make staying here difficult. The grounds keeper Hilario was great, attentive and helpful, just didn't speak English. Nor did any of the guards at the gate.

Unbelievable, Gorgeous, Stunning..You get the picture

A week later and we still can't stop talking about how amazing our stay was at this home. My family and I referred to the home as a compound - SO much land/space for you to enjoy - even comes with your very own cenote :) Everything was wonderful. The pool was heated, the beach steps away, the housekeepers and grounds manager, Freddy, was attentive and immediately responsive if we ever needed anything. Not to mention, the owner, Daniel, was also quick to respond to any questions we had. The only recommendation on improvement is supplying the kitchen with more pots and pans. That is seriously the only recommendation. Everything was excellent - and we couldn't say enough about the chef. We had them come 3 days and it was worth every single penny. I hope Daniel never stops using that particular company for all future visitors sake! I would highly recommend renting a car and be mentally prepared: you're in the middle of the jungle. Bring your mosquito spray! Daniel - thank you so much for everything. This vacation will truly stay in our memories forever

Huset ligger på en fin strand och tomten och poolen är fin. Själva huset i sig skulle kunna renoveras lite och möblerna bytas ut men de stämmer överens med bilderna. De som tar hand om huset gör varken för lite eller för mycket.Vi hyrde in kock och lagade mat själva. Kock crewet var väldigt gulliga. Mitt enda egentliga minus är kommunikation med värden, jag fick vänta länge på svar och ibland fick jag inget svar. Är man okej med det så rekommenderar jag huset!

Perfect Christmas!

With one of my children in a wheelchair this is one of a very few beach options. Did not disappoint! Daniel is a perfect host and chef Ismael serves up tasty meals. Altogether a very good stay!!

Family vacation

We had 16 family members and we all loved the house and property. Wonderful place to relax. Great beach, lovely grounds with lots of quiet spaces to read and fun areas for kids to play. Helpful, friendly staff clean daily and take care of everything you need. Highly recommend adding the chef services. Amazing food at very reasonable prices. We started letting the chef pick all the meals bc everything was so tasty and it was nice to not even think about it.

There were workers part of the property that would accommodate to all your needs. Definitely would recommend hiring the chef for lunch and dinners. The food was amazing. Private Oasis Found!

Our family of 15 just returned from an incredible 10 day stay at the Secret Jewel Beach Villa and can't stop talking about the fun we had. Even though the house wasn't new it had plenty of space and tons of "Mexican Charm". The EXTRA LARGE grounds, which were lit up at night, made you feel like you were in your own private oasis with your own private staff. There was ample room for everyone to enjoy. The property itself is centrally located on the beach between Cancun and Playa Del Carmen in a gated community with virtually NO PUBLIC access. Even the house was gated which gave us all an extra sense of security. This is one of those rare beaches that didn’t have vendors selling stuff. Privacy Plus!!!! Most of the living was done outside by the pool or under the gazebo that over looked our private beach and ocean. You could see for miles and listen to the waves crashing below. There was a private senote next to the hammocks if you wanted a quiet place to chill or swim. The separate games room and pool were far enough away from the house so those who went to bed early weren’t kept awake by the younger adults who stayed up into the wee hours of the morning. One of our best decisions was to hire the Chef a couple of times. Not only did he prepare two separate meals each day, but his staff cleaned up after each meal. Keep in mind there is a Costco & Walmart in Cancun if you need to shop. Otherwise, Puerto Morelos has two well stocked grocery stores (Aki & Chedraui) just 5 minutes drive north of the house. A rental car would be recommended for this location and is a great way to get around to see all the sights. Check online "driving in Mexico" before you go so you know the basic rules of the road. For those who are looking for the “night life” action, this is not the place for you. This is for people who want to get away from the crowds and enjoy the people you're traveling with. Thank You Daniel & Abraham for all your help, knowledge and hospitality. We truly had a spectacular time.

Magical jungle stay right on the beach!

Had a magical stay at the Sea Jewel Beach Villas, where I celebrated my 40th birthday with eight of my friends. It was the perfect place to chill and connect, and the vibe was just my style. It is not a luxury villa — the house is a bit dated and there are bugs because you are in the jungle —but it is well kept and clean. The grounds were simply amazing. We loved the pool, and the beach-viewing platform. You have direct beach access and just need to walk a few steps away to reach a sandy area where it is easy to go go for a swim. From the photos, I was a bit worried that the beach and ocean would feel closed off, given the gates, but it absolutely was not. We experienced the beach fully from the villa. We also loved the feeling of security that came with a gated villa — we were able to lounge in the pool late at night without feeling like others could access the space. The grounds crew made us feel safe as well. This place is secluded — a bit in the middle of nowhere — so perhaps not an optimal choice for those wanting to be in the heart of town. Also, I gave the owner some feedback that I would have preferred some more proactive communication, particularly around the chef services as I was planning a birthday dinner the evening we arrived. I ended up using Uxata chef services instead, and it was perfect. Thank you, Daniel, for an incredible stay and a magical birthday experience! Tips - Bring ecofriendly sunscreen and bug spray - Bring reusable water bottles — the house has a big water dispenser that you can use to fill your bottles - Either pre-arrange your transportation or rent a car — car rental will likely be cheaper if you plan to go out - Be mindful that the staff on premises do not speak English. You can reach the owners via the app, and they are accommodating - There are dogs on the premises so if you have any aversion, tell the owners in advance so they can be locked up - Bring ziplock bags to house any food you want to keep in your rooms — food attracts ants. We had issues with ants in the bed after food was left in a room. - Be mindful that this is not a luxury accommodation (and nor is it at that price point) — it is completely lovely and magical, but you are in the jungle, there are bugs and the house itself is fairly dated (but clean and comfortable) - Hiring a chef service - either thru the villa or Uxata - is recommended. There are no restaurants “right around the corner” — the closest are about a 15 minute drive away.

The house, beach and pool are as described. The House is big and a good layout. There is an indoor and outdoor kitchen area that is great to sit and have breakfast at. The kitchen isn't updated but is roomy. This trip was for our wedding and we have 14 people stay at this house. We had some issues such as one of the bathrooms in an upstairs room smelled so bad we had to get it fixed before our guest could sleep in the room. There was also a BIG ant problem. One guest was sleeping in the room by the outdoor BBQ area and she woke up to ants crawling all over her and her baby. The baby was bitten so bad we had to take him to the doctor. On the last night at the house there was a wedding at the chapel and half of the house lost power for most of the night. So there was no AC or power for the last night of our stay. I would say for the price we expected more. We wouldn't stay here again.

Great Place to Stay!

We stayed here with 4 families (8 adults and 9 kids) and we truly had a wonderful time. The staff was great! They cleaned our bedrooms, house , and did all the dishes every day. Also provided us with clean towels for the beach and to bath when we needed them. The chef was what made our trip an A+ experience. I’d highly recommend that you pay the extra fee for the chef, the food was great! The pool and beach are also just perfect. Their are areas to snorkel or swim. Daniel, the owner stopped in to check on us from time to time. He truly cares about your trip and wants to make sure your satisfied. We were! I’d come back for sure.

Heavenly paradise stay !

Amazing and soothing family gathering unique experience. A true secret jewel in the sea. The staff was absolutely accommodating, delightful and always available. Daily maintenance and cleaning service. Optional Chef service, this is an absolute must, excellent food, presentation and top service, much better than nearby restaurants. Chef services includes cleaning all dishes, kitchen, etc. Location is unique, private beach front, available boards, kayaks, etc. Great pool too. Distance from pool to beach less than 50ft, what a joyful and freedom experience for all. Clean room and linen, great air conditioning, WiFi and cell coverage. Owner Daniela checked on us a couple of times making sure we had all we needed, we greatly appreciate it. Nearby recommended water parks such as Xcaret and Xplor, both great! Amazing beach hideaway

We had a group of 26 and had such an amazing time! The place is tucked away just enough to make you feel like you are secluded. The homemade meals, the pool, private beach access, and staff were COMPLETELY WONDERFUL!

Beautiful hideaway on the beach

We were so happy with not only the location, but the house, the rooms, and the staff! The guys make us feel at home and we had the best vacation playing pool volleyball, watching the sunsets, and enjoying homemade food!

Mucho gusto!

We travel annually as a group of 13-16 life-long friends (we are now 60-somethings). Thoroughly enjoyed the stay here. The place is not in tip-top shape physically, but everything works well and the grounds are amazing. Best beach front we have ever stayed at; perfect rock barrier creating breathtaking surf breaks right out our doorstep. Great walks on beach (if you go to the right!) and bird-peeping. The swimming pool was clean, delightful, refreshing; the hot tub was not hot. Best part of the villa? Hook up with the option for hiring the chef and his crew to cook for you right on the premises. Breakfasts were amazingly good...dinners even better...and the prices are far more reasonable than going out to restaurants. Daniel is a great host. He's there when you need him, disappears when you don't! We will probably return to this place again as a group. We left the premises almost never... plenty of laid-back chillin' and relaxin' for the team!

"AWESOME"!!!!!!!!!

Very relaxing, very quiet with plenty of room for beach activities. The pool was just the right size with plenty of lounge chairs and fresh towels. All facilities were well kept and cleaned everyday. Our Bartender and Server Arturo was FANTASTIC. Would Love to have one of his special Margaritas or Pina Coladas right now. Every request asked of him was done with a smile. Our Chef Ismael was also FANTASTIC. Every meal was very good, all food cooked very well. Heck, he even cooked late breakfast with Arturo's help for some folks who got up late for some reason?? Would we Love to go back, MOST DEFINITELY!!

perfect large group party venue

A sprawling beach compound with three independent multistory living quarters and even with a 20+ group everyone had plenty of private space and there were beds unused. The staff was amazing - every meal was better than my last meal from our previous vacation. Easy access by rental car to anywhere you want to go. Completely safe inside a gated community with 24x7 guard. Several outdoor covered spaces to enjoy the wind, waves and sun (or shade). Surprisingly good WiFi and cellular service (ATT). Daily maid service made the beds, cleaned the floors and bathrooms. The beach immediately out front is rocky with tidal pools for the kids and less than 50 yards to the right is a nice sand beach for everyone to enjoy.

little bit of paradise

Loved this beautiful getaway! The property is beautiful with such easy access to the gorgeous beach. The staff was so warm, friendly, and extremely attentive to our needs. Was there with a group of 20, and we had plenty of bedding options and room to spread out. Appreciated that the owner checked in on us a few times to ensure that all was to our liking. Would highly recommend.

BEAUTIFUL!

10/10 would recommend. Amazing experience! Had enough room for 20+ people and honestly had room for more. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. My mouth waters reminiscing about Ismael's cooking and don't even get me started about Arturo. Arturo was the absolute best. The property was conveniently located near shops, restaurants, and other attractions. I have not stopped raving about the trip and tell everyone that it is a MUST for staying in Mexico.
