This cute, rustic beach cottage was the perfect get away for me and my hubby. The beach view can't be beat with front row seats to people and ocean watch. Parking was a huge factor for the rental and we appreciated the cottage being set back from the Strand with easy in and out and our own parking space. We were on the lower floor and yes, you can hear the neighbors walking above occasionally, but hey, it's an older cottage, to be expected! It was a little warmer the days we were there, and the mobile air conditioners were appreciated! The kitchen was stocked with pots/pans and all the things to make our daily breakfast feast. The bed was super comfy as well. We didn't use the hot tub, but they were clean and ready to go!Host was available if needed (we didn't need them), check in was easy. We had a lovely stay!

We stayed 5 nights. Love it. Will stay again and try to rent the whole property to bring friends. Had a small issue with ants and ceiling fan didn't work in the living room. Hot tubs were both clean and operating. Will be back.

House itself is a little off The Strand which lessens noise from passing cars and pedestrians. There is still a view of the ocean and a gazebo with great seating right across from the beach!Owner is very responsive to communication.

Let me start by saying that who ever cleans this property does a good job with what they have to work with. It is not the cleaning persons fault for the negative parts of this review. The Good:Easy check in/outThe location is great. Beachfront right off the Strand. Equipped with most things needed: Towels, cook ware etc. Covered cabana located by the strand to sit and people watch or have a nice dinner with a view of the Pacific ocean. 2 jacuzzies on the property (We did not use them) but they looked ok and in useable condition. Large shower has multiple spray heads but some only spray hot water. Shared parking space with the unit above - big enough for 1 vehicle (each unit)Outside shower/hose off area to rinse off sand and salt waterArtificial grass area for dogsBedrooms have A/C wall units that work ok. The other rooms are fans only. Onsite washer/dryerThe Cons: Overall disrepair and needs some basic work and updating to make it competitiveCongested area. You will see many different varieties of people walking and cruising up and down the strand all day/night. Flies are a problem here, the outside trash cans are stored next to the outside cabana where you eat. They will bother you constantly. Trip hazard step exists between the bedroom and laundry room. (Bring Band-Aids)Ant problem/Missing CaulkPropane grill falling apart/dirty/fliesCar parking blocks the ocean viewKing bed was hard. Linens clean
