About this property

Mountain Estate & 32 miles from beach.

This beautiful Mountain Villa is located in the hills of Atenas, Costa Rica. Atenas is a great way to get to know the true Costa Rican culture as this town is known as a "Locals town." Even though your will be among the Ticas and Ticos, you'll be treated warmly and with amazing respect.

The Palms Villa includes 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths along with an outdoor shower, private tennis court, pool and Jacuzzi. Dozens of fruit bearing trees including banana, mango, avocado and various citrus. This Villa is only about 32 miles from the nearest beaches and marina. Perfect for a family vacation, reunion or yoga retreat. This secure estate offers everything you see in the photos and more. (*If renters have children under the age of 14, a telephone conversation and an additional liability release waiver will be needed due to the insecure pool.)

There are 3 bedrooms upstairs with full AC units. Please turn off all ACs when out for the day. They only take moments to cool the room down upon your return. The 4th bedroom is located in the lower level and only has a portable AC unit. Water has to be put in it to work. Please read the instructions posted to the probable AC units themselves. I have 2 portable AC units in the lower level. Since this is area that people tend to keep the doors open to the pool, I have not installed a wall mounted AC unit.

Please know that this lower level room is not as pretty and as comfortable as the upstairs bedrooms. (*No one has complained)
In the family room downstairs there is a pullout queen sized couch for extra sleeping. Int he study, there is a futon count for additional sleeping. *Please do NOT sleep on the couches in the formal living room.

Please do not sit on any of the inside furniture wet from the pool.

Beautiful place

We had a great stay. The place was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The host was very gracious in allowing us to hold a small family gathering for a couple of hours in loving memory of my dad, which meant a lot to us. Her kindness and flexibility made our experience even better. I’d definitely stay here again.

Everything was PERFECT the home owner Wendy was great always get back with me on any question or any issue that we might have. Rossana the CHEF if your looking for some of the best food you will ever taste trust me when i tell you her and her son know how to prepare a perfect meal.. And the house the picture do not give it justice, in person there wasnt a flaw anywhere we had such a great time and we cannot wait to stay there again.... Thank you soooo much yall made the stay GREAT!!!!!

This is our 3rd short term rental. Ive been a super host on my other properties. (I sold them due to Covid) But this estate also serves as our second home, therefore we have no plans to sell it anytime soon.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Costa Rica and its people when we visited and decided to spend as much time as possible in this region of the world.

What makes this property unique

This unique property gives the you feel of being worlds away from everywhere, but is located within the quaint (locals) town of Atenas. This property is only 32 miles from the nearest beach and marina. It is only 30 minutes from the large city of San Jose. The Palms Villa Estate truly offers the one of best locations that Costa Rica has to offer for your adventure.
