Beautiful little cabin in the woods. Fully stocked with everything we could need and more. Coffee, toiletries, even some snacks. Clean and tidy with tons of room for the kids to relax.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Chalet. The property was very clean, comfortable, well stocked and full of amazingly thoughtful amenities. We also enjoyed the lack of city lighting and were able to see lots of stars, even the Milky Way when it got really dark.
We had a lovely stay at this cute vacation home. We were delightfully surprised that the home was fully stocked with so many helpful items; i.e toothbrushes, lots of kitchen supplies, plenty of filtered water, spices, towels, the only thing I’d suggest to have in the home is a tea kettle.
This was also a very good launching point for things to do. We went to mill pond in , the Howe caverns, and the sunshine fair as well as a local pond for fishing.
We put up a badminton net and truly made the most of the huge lawn and property. We even setup our toddlers’ play pool.
Would most certainly stay here again!
We like to meet up with some friends from Maine about once a year near the halfway point between us. Ray's Chalet is a great place to chill out and relax with friends and family. The Chalet is very clean and there's plenty of room for everybody. Great for grilling, lawn games, bonfires, etc. Ray adds a lot of nice touches as well, but I won't ruin the surprises for you. (BTW--Ray, thanks for the spare toothbrush set up! Saved our lives when we had to bring the kids at the last minute due to babysitting issues and forget theirs.) There is some good fishing in the area. (I recommend Mallet Pond--but it's a bit of a walk from the car park.) Plenty of other mountain fun out there as well. A truly great stay.
We loved the peaceful location and the house was fantastic. Very clean, plenty of space, fully furnished, just like home. We came in October when the leaves were changing. The view from the deck was absolutely breathtaking! This was our first experience booking a vrbo and it was perfect. We highly recommend this property!!

I'm married with three children. Own and co-own a few companies in communications. My wife is a nurse in Westchester Co. NY. We both live F/T 1hr north of NYC and own this beautiful vacation. Im a ham radio operator.
Why they chose this property
In 2010 we bought this property because its on a high ridge for my ham radio communications but over the years it turned into more than just that. Many, many family gatherings each summer and In 2021 my son Bobby got married on the property with over 100 guests. However, as we get older and the kids are all grown up, we dont have the time to vacation at the home in the northern catskills like we have in the past. Our vacation home is now open for others to enjoy! A lot of great memories have been made here. We hope you can make great memories too!
What makes this property unique
Very secluded - away from everythig but close enough to get groceries or sight seeing.
