Room #1009 @ The Palace

Overall our stay was great!! The room was clean and nicely laid out. The owner provides basic cookware and utensils so that helped out on budgeting. My only dislike was the bed, to me and my husband it didn't sleep good at all. I was constantly waking up during the night because I kept rolling & sinking into the center of the bed. It just seemed very wore out to me. The majority of the people at the hotel were considerate of other guests and friendly. I was unaware that an ice machine wasn't available for guests at The Palace and the front desk lady was a bit rude when I asked her if there was an ice machine on site until our room fridge/ice maker had time to dispense ice. We didn't let her or her rudeness ruin our trip though. They have security walking the grounds during the day and at night to keep everything under control and family friendly. The hot tubs & pools were clean, you could tell they were maintained daily. I would recommend this listing to anyone who is looking for a nice, pleasant & decent place to stay. We will consider returning to this location and staying in room #1009 in the future as long as an upgrade has been made to the bed.

Lost in Translation- (not what it is depicted to be)

The overall stay was mediocre at best and many things were sketchy. The kitchen sink had its plug in it with water and when I released it the sewer smell was horrific. The George Foreman grill was never cleaned but back under the sink. There was a vase under the sink that was being used as an ashtray with the stinky ashes still in it. The inside base of the dishwasher had a milky stagnant slime in it before we even used it. There was dust up and down the walls and on all of the beach decor. I would have been mortified to invite others inside. There was a hole in the headboard in the master bedroom and the bathroom door was split at the handle making the lock inoperable. No plug for the sink in the bathroom. The best thing in the place was the toilet because it was new and safe. NOT JOKING The parking pass had the rental office location, so if you are not directionally savvy you may end up on a rough side of town. Look elsewhere!

What I thought I was paying for was a 4 bedroom on the 1st floor what I got was a one bed Room

I got stuck on the 10th floor in a one bedroom I will never rent from these property people again it was not worth over $3000 breakfast was not included it was $15 per person there was only 6 items on the buffet same s*** every day had no extra blankets nothing was not worth it

Hi Jody, thanks for booking with us and leaving a review. Not sure why you thought you were getting a 1st floor 4 bedroom unit, when the listing states "check out this 10th floor, ocean view, 1-bedroom apartment located at the Palace Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC" As for the breakfast not being included, this is out of our control. This unit is privately owned and managed and not part of the resort.
