It's too bad that VRBO puts pressure to have 5 star reviews. I will only do that if a property/experience has been immaculate both inside and out. Having said that, this was a very nice place to stay. We had a great time there and the open living, dining, kitchen area made for great conversations over the weekend. Access to property was easy (one big hill on road in), nice quiet neighborhood with many outdoor opportunities near by. If we had had a bigger group, the basement area with games and additional sleeping would have been ideal. Mike was very responsive to our questions and always got back to us right away.
We were able to check in early, nice space for kids, road a bit washed out and initially hard to get vehicle/boat in driveway etc. nice area for kids . Hot water used quickly, grounds could use some upgrades but we enjoyed the space.
It is a very nice property well. Enjoyed sitting and talking on the porch with my granddaughters. We took a stroll down to the lake. Overall it was a good time and a beautiful place to stay.
A perfect location to just hang out on the lake with our family. We enjoyed the house, the dock/ lake, and the fire pit. Quiet location with space to be outside.
We were in town for camp and stayed at the house. It was just what we needed for a week away. Nice quiet neighborhood and a relaxing atmosphere. Close enough to go into town for evening shopping and ice cream for the kids. We had a wonderful time and would recommend.
Our family of 6 stayed for 5 nights over the Labor Day weekend and included our 2 grandchildren ages 4 and 9. The house is very clean and comfortable. There are 98 steps to the water so you have a really nice view of the new aluminum dock and water. There’s a nice fire pit next to the walkout basement. We enjoyed several nights roasting marshmallows on the fire. The access to the cabin is a nice gravel road we walked my daughters dogs each morning on. The only disappointment is the road to the cabin is not open to atv/utv traffic so you have to trailer to the local park and ride just west on 70 which is a nice lot.
Overall we really enjoyed the stay and Mike was a pleasure to deal with. Great host!
Our family stayed 3 nights at this property and really enjoyed our time there. Age of kids were 1, 4, 9, and 11. We did bring a pack n play for the youngest one but otherwise the other children enjoyed the bunk beds. Having two separate bedrooms on the main level was great for grandma in one room and the parents with the youngest to stay in. This property has many, many stairs that lead you down to the dock where we spent every morning and evening fishing. We caught a great amount of fish and the kids really enjoyed it! Board games were provided and a foosball table was a huge hit with our kids and adults. Wifi was excellent for watching t.v. when the kids needed time to slow down. Small firepit was nice at night and Mike had a small number of camping chairs to sit around it with. Overall, the property was very clean with evidence of Mike's plans for it to grow into a great rental property . We hope to stay again in the future! Thanks again Mike!
