Overall the stay was good, but a few improvements would have gone a long way. Advertised as a sleeps 5, but the “sofa bed” is quite small and is the worst sofa coach I’ve ever experienced. There is no mattress whatsoever, just a 3” cushion sitting atop the metal frame - quite uncomfortable after a few days of skiing. The unit would be much better suited for 2 adults - certainly not five. There was no remote for the bedroom tv, and despite our call on day 1 to the maintenance number and their assurance they would have one delivered to our room, no remote arrived during our three night stay. Hairdryer also did not work in the unit.Location was great. Accessibility to the lifts and the locker storage was great. Overall cleanliness adequate as well. Better sleeping arrangements would have made this much more enjoyable.

Great spot on the mountain!

We have visited Snowshoe 4 times now and this was by far our favorite place! The owner was very responsive to any questions or concerns I had during our stay. The space was spectacular..looks just as the pictures online! Really loved the memory foam mattress in the bedroom! The location couldn’t be beat..you are just steps from everything. I think that’s what sold us on this property, that and the amenities at Allegheny Springs (heated outdoor pool and hot tubs). If we ever make it back up to Snowshoe we will definitely be staying here again!

Snowshoe Allegheny Springs

Our experience was wonderful. The instructions and information was correct and up to date. The cleanliness was 5 star. The location was awesome being so close to the slopes so that we could quickly run in for lunch and then right back out to get the most out of our time. We loved soaking in the hot tub after a long day of skiing. The host quickly responded to all of our questions and concerns.

Great location! Love the facility the pool and hot tub were amazing, pizza restaurant in the building was delicious!! A little confusing check-in process, our access cards were not ready so we couldn’t get into parking and it took a little to get that all squared away, just an inconvenience not a real problem. Room was great very spacious, shower water stayed hot, kitchen was stocked well. Only down falls were the pull out sofa was very uncomfortable an upgraded maters would go a long way. And the bedroom lighting was virtually nonexistent with two small wall lights but only one worked, no lamp and the closet light did not work either. Both complaints are simple fixes making this one of the best units in the best location!!

Fun first skiing adventure

This was our first time skiing so we weren’t sure what to expect. Snowshoe was a great resort. We booked through VRBO because it was the only unit left available in the building most of our friends were staying. The unit was as described on the VRBO site. Many of our friends had a welcome binder in their room with check out procedures, ski locker information, etc. This would have been helpful for us as we had never been there before. I had to email the property manager for these questions, which was challenging because I didn’t have great service. We also were only given 1 amenity key. They did allow us to pick up a second key but only after we requested a second via email and explained why having 1 for a family of 4 is a bit of a challenge. Overall, this was a fine place to stay with a few recommendations listed above.

Underwhelmed

We have stayed at AS many times and we enjoy the location the best, so we continue to stay here. The pictures in this VRBO listing must have been taken awhile ago because the sofa is extremely old and worn down now, the fireplace screen is hanging on and the place looks very old. The sofa had potato chip crumbs all over it upon our arrival, too. My main concern in any place is cleanliness. This bathroom was so dirty. The toilet seat was up and filthy on the inside, hair was in the tub, the hair dryer is so old and gross and the baseboards were horrible. The place is worn down. The coffee pot was dirty. I just want someone to pay attention to details. The check in process was unacceptable as well. We were given the run around from their AI texting mechanism and we were stuck in our room for almost 1.5 hours waiting to be given an amenity key. We could not park our car, we could not go get our skis, we just wasted time. I've sent pictures to the management and communicated with them about our issues and no compensation for this particular trip was given. Just disappointed. Not sure how it rated a 10 for cleanliness. The only pros, the actual location of this unit is great and the bed was pretty comfortable.

Would not stay here again

I completely agree with the review left by Ashely on 2/5/25. This place needs some attention. The baseboards were falling off the wall, weird smell and the pull out coach was broken. We didn't notice this until 10 pm when we tried to set the kids beds up. I asked for a refund since the vrbo was listed to sleep 4 and we had 4. They would not because they said I didn't list the kids in the rental agreement. When I started my search for a unit it defaulted to 2 and I never changed it. My mistake. But they were unable to fix the pull out. So we had to squeeze one teenager in the bed with us while the other slept on the couch unmade. This is not ideal for a 3 night stay! I was shocked that they wouldn't refund anything. Also the post from Feb 2024 states that the closet light didn't work and there was minimal lighting in the master. Well they haven't addressed that either. There are 2 sconces on the wall and one of them is hanging half attached to the wall. So they haven't changed the light bulb or added any additional lighting like a lamp like they said they would. And I don't know how people can rate this unit with a 10 on anything especially cleanliness. The only thing that was positive about the stay is the location. This was our first time to snowshoe. We loved snowshoe. And now we know that there are many other places to stay that are also a great location.
