Property was in a great location within walking distance to shops/dining. It was clean and had everything we needed. Make sure to take coffee/filters or Keuring pods. You can purchase at front desk but pricey.

Thank you for the review! We do not provide Keurig pods or grounds, but filters should be free at the front desk.
Nice and clean condo located conveniently near the slopes. It felt safe and had a nice view of the lake. Only downside is the roku tv instead of dish, but that is a preference.

Thanks for the review. It was a pleasure hosting you! There is an option on the Roku to select Live TV or Cable Box that should allow guests to access the cable channels. The cable channels can sometimes be spotty, so we wanted to provide access to streaming platforms, too.
We had made a mistake in our rental dates, but Jonathan was extremely helpful. It just so happened that he had another rental that would accommodate us. He communicated well and went above and beyond, when we had made the mistake. The location is perfect! Thanks again!
We loved our stay in Mountain Lodge 162! It was a cozy condo with a wonderful view of the mountains and lake. The lodge was family friendly and convenient. The condo had many updates including new flooring and a renovated bathroom and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. They even had a pack and play for our toddler! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again this summer to check out the warm weather activities in Snowshoe.

Thank you for the review! Guests should receive a welcome packet/email from VBRO prior to stays, so we will verify that is going out properly. We try to update a few items every summer, so we will take a 2md mirror into account.
My sister and I booked it less than 2 weeks away from the trip date. The location is conveniently close to the village and perfect for ski in/out. No complaints!
We’ve stayed in many ML places and Thai was the nicest. Clean and updated and easy to unload and ski out to Ballhooter. May be loud when the arcade reopens but it was closed for Covid so we had no noise issues...loved our stay

We are glad you had a great stay! We try to make small, additional tweaks to the unit every year. We also have small kids, so can speak first hand to the arcade (since they tried to live in there pre-Covid). The way the walls are designed disburse any noise going on inside the arcade, so the unit stays quiet. Hope to see you all back at ML!
We had a really good time, room was everything we needed. Very responsive and helpful owner. The only issue we had was not with the room, but more of the property itself. It was fairly loud at times, especially in the mornings with skiers going out. Nothing crazy though, will stay again

Liked: Cleanliness, communication
Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
Be weary there is no exact location listed on the rental to put in your gps, on top of the fact there are multiple "mountain lodges" on snow shoe. Be sure to look at your check in and out time because you don't even get a full day, the mountain closes at 4:30 and your not "allowed" to ask the front desk to get in your room before 5pm and that time is not even guaranteed. The room was clean but there were what looked to be glitter stains on the mattress, which isn't the end of the world but defiantly made me wonder. Also be ware your master bedroom has an exterior window to the hallway where everyone is passing through with all there gear on so you won't be sleeping in. They also say that from your balcony you can ski in/out... unless you want to break your ankle jumping out of the balcony that far from true unless I guess it snows 12' then maybe. All in all for what we paid I'm certainly let down, we drove 5 hours one way and after that you'd expect to open you app and have clear instructions but just finding the lodge was frustrating really setting the tone for our experience. If it was cheaper id have no issues but scraping almost 300 after it is all said and done lets just say id rather a hotel at the point. I did not reach out to the host for the simple fact that we had 1 day there and I wasn't gonna waste my limited time on that, we made the best of situation, like I said it was clean but for all the travel we've done thats the bare minimum.

Thank you for your feedback. We strive to provide clear and proactive communication to help our guests have a smooth stay, and we want to clarify a few important points for future guests reading this review.
Our Welcome Guide provides the exact address to the condo building, and both our listing description and Welcome Guide clearly outline check-in and check-out times in multiple locations to ensure visibility. The Welcome Guide is sent via email 2–3 days prior to arrival to allow guests time to review important details before traveling.
We did not receive any questions from this guest about our specific unit or the condo building either before or during the stay, which would have allowed us the opportunity to assist. The property is located in a remote mountain area within a National Quiet Zone where cellular service is extremely limited, so we strongly encourage guests to review arrival instructions and plan accordingly prior to travel.
If we had been notified about any bedding concerns such as a stain or glitter, we would have immediately contacted our building housekeeping team to deliver a clean replacement set to the unit.
We are always available to help and encourage guests to reach out at any time before or during their stay so we can ensure the best possible experience.
Absolutely precious and great location within Mt. Lodge. Host was great. Just be aware the bedroom is very small. Lots of closet space, but no room to put a large suitcase full of ski gear for just one adult in the room. Could not imagine two! The view is amazing and I recommend this as long as you pack light!
Wonderful, clean and enough of everything (not too much or too little).
I like everything except of the absence of window in the bedroom. It's not the fault of the owner. The building is built in such a way that the window from the bedroom overlooks the hall. For winter vacation it's probably ok, not for summer.
The room itself was okay. It was annoying that it was directly in front of an arcade which was loud and obnoxious. The bed was pretty uncomfortable. The view was great but the balcony was pilled with snow so you couldn’t be out on it. Unfortunately, they must have had a guest that was smoking in it because it had a terrible cigarette smell. I was frustrated that I wasn’t aware that it was not affiliated with the mountain so it made getting lift tickets and mountain info was a bit of a hassle. The slopes were easily accessible which was nice to have and the desk clerks were very pleasant. For the cost, in comparison, it wasn’t the worst but I will likely book elsewhere for my next snowshoe trip next year.

We apologize the stay did not meet all of your needs and hope you will still consider Mountain Lodge or us in the future.
We wish you would have reached out during the stay regarding the smell as we could have had our cleaning crew come by the room and given us a chance to address the issue with the guest who stayed prior to you. Please note all the rooms in Mountain Lodge are non-smoking; smoking is not even permitted on the balconies. We take smoking in the room very seriously as our family would not want that when visit either.
The arcade does have sound proofing, and we have not noticed any issues with noise with the arcade in our previous personal stays. However, there are posted quiet hours, so if issues arise, we encourage guests to reach out to us or to the front desk as building personnel can assist.
Lastly, we do specifically state in our listing that we are not affiliated with Snowshoe and guests must visit the Snowshoe site for their lift tickets, etc. This is the same for any condos not booked directly through Snowshoe.
Thank you for the feedback as we will discuss these issues with our cleaning team and the building management.
It is a very nice one bedroom, unfortunately we had no water in the morning of Christmas Day. Without water, we didn't have shower for an couple of days, and had to go out for using the bathroom during really cold nights. It was terrible experience. I kept calling the office and we didn't have water before checking out. I also have been trying to contact with the property manager, no one call me back.

We again apologize for the issue with the water. We feel your frustration, especially given the temperatures during your visit. Due to the deep freeze/abnormally, below freezing temperatures experienced on the mountain during your stay, the majority of our building (not just our unit) as well as several other buildings on the mountain experienced frozen and burst water pipes and maintenance teams and utility companies were working as diligently as possible to restore water access across the mountain. The water access to the building was fixed by the next day.
We communicated with you through the VRBO app where you indicated that you did not reach to us about the water outage as you knew there was nothing we could do about it.
We do appreciate the comment regarding the room as we do strive to provide a well-kept unit for ourselves and our renters.
This was a perfect base 'camp' for our 5 day autumn stay at Snowshoe. Within walking distance of all the action, but a quiet spot with a beautiful view. One oddity is the joint balcony with the condo next door- but they weren't onsite these days. We just weren't sure if we should use the table and chairs which were on 'their' side. The kitchen is short on counterspace and free cabinets- so if you plan to actually cook for 5 days- be prepared for this. (the table was our dry food storage) Oh, and be tall- the cabinets and utensil drawers are a bit high. The only thing missing for me was a measuring cup and spoons, which I'm sure can be easily remedied by the owner, or the cook with good guestimates. The bed and couch were comfortable and the TV was well positioned. The ceiling fan in the bedroom is very effective! Everything in the bathroom worked fine. I love the convenience of a door code rather than a card or key that can get lost. The dedicated parking lot is great! My husband and I would stay here again.

Thank you for the review!
Please note we have done a refresh of kitchen and cooking supplies prior to ski season. There should also be a new stool in the bathroom that could be used for the taller cabinets in the kitchen or for children at the bathroom sink.
For the newly opened deck, there is now a partition between our unit and the other unit. Deck furniture will be available starting in the spring season for all guests enjoyment.
The condo itself was pretty nice. A bit high priced for what you can get in the other snowshoe facilities. The pool being an extra fee is kind of ridiculous.
Dishes were still in the dish washer from the previous person who stayed there and a lot of the dishes were dirty. Due to this we are out. All of the blankets and comforters wet dirty. The master bedroom comforter had someone’s boot print on it. Luckily we brought our own. Floors were clean but the smell of the cleaning products were a bit overwhelming. We travel a lot so we had candles to mask the pine sol (not sure if that is what it was) smell. Internet was fast but that was really the only thing updated in the mountain lodge.
The common areas were gross and the smells of everyone’s dinner was bad. The constant running from kids on ski trips with their church/school at 10pm was annoying. I just wish the building was cleaner. I felt like I was walking into a motel that had not been updated since the 60s but for us we were there to snowboard so we tried to ignore it. I marked the property cleanliness a 4 because it just felt a bit unpolished but the mountain lodge building would be a 1 or 2. Add some light is the hallways. They were dark and smelled.
Btw I’ve stayed in plenty of snowshoe properties and the only one worse is top of the world. The mountain lodge is a close second.
It was unusual because the resort was so empty since it was summer, not winter. That being said, the place was clean and taken care of. Only wish that the ski lift and/ or pool would have been included in the price.
