About the host
Hosted by Randyl Walters
Hello! We're a Lehigh Valley couple who believe the best memories aren't made at tourist attractions — they're made around a fire, on a hiking trail, or piled on a couch watching a movie while it snows outside. It's not what you spend on vacation but rather how you SPENT your vacation. Chris has been on a dirt bike since before he could reach the ground. Randyl collects hobbies like some people collect shoes. Together we built The Williwaw for families like ours — come make some memories.
Why they chose this property
The Williwaw — it's a fun name to say and a fun place to stay!
The wraparound second story deck is your headquarters — grill dinner among the trees, visit with friends over a glass of wine, or curl up with a book and a cup of tea while the kids roast marshmallows below.
Locust Lake Village has three lakes with fishing, swimming and boating, several beaches with lifeguards, a playground, tennis courts, and a ski hill with T-bar and sledding hill in winter — all accessible to your guests during your stay.
Beyond the community: Kalahari Indoor Waterpark is 20 minutes away. Hickory Run State Park is just down the road for hiking and nature. Jim Thorpe features white water rafting, mountain biking, and a steam train ride through the Lehigh Gorge. Three major ski slopes are within minutes in winter.
Every room has a different mattress firmness — memory foam, hybrid, and hybrid with topper — all comfortable, with more pillows than you'll know what to do with. For early risers: the sun comes through the backyard trees and creates something genuinely magical. Coffee on the deck before anyone else wakes up is strongly recommended.
What makes this property unique
What makes The Williwaw different? It gives you your time back.
Even on weekends, real life fills up fast — chores, errands, to-do lists. At The Williwaw, none of that exists. You can fill every hour with hiking, skiing, kayaking, and waterparks — or you can sit by the fire and do absolutely nothing at all.
Those quiet hours in the woods, piled on the couch while it snows, or watching the kids explore the backyard — that's the magic. We built this place for families like ours, and we're genuinely happy to share our corner of the woods with you.
