The place was nice and clean. Extra blankets /comforters would be beneficial since the weather is changeable.

Great location, no frills
The house was pretty and very clean. The views and location were gorgeous. Those are the positives. The beds were pretty uncomfortable and also were all either ridiculously high or really low. It was hard to get into the higher beds even for average-height people. The lighting in every room is very dim, especially in the bathrooms. We found that only the bare essentials were provided, such as sheets and one towel/washcloth per bed. Each bed had a thin bedspread. There were no extra towels, blankets or pillows. Since it was October, we would have appreciated blankets. The house seemed very sterile without any personal touches. There was also no laundry detergent, hair dryers, coffee, etc. Nothing extra at all which we are used to seeing at the other homes we have stayed in. I wish there had at least been a welcome basket with coffee and snacks to get you started in case you arrive late without having had a chance to get to a store (as was our case). Overall, the house was functional and was a good landing point for sightseeing in the area but would not be our first choice if we were looking for a comfortable place to hang out with friends or family.

Keuka cottage
Very nice location that was centrally located for everything we wanted to do. One suggestion regarding the two double beds. They are very high off the floor, We had two shorter people that had a hard time getting into the bed. What looked like a step stool in each room indicated not to stand on it. I think an actual step stool should be in each room that had the two very high double beds. Otherwise a very nice time was had by all.

wine country!
Overall, the property was very clean and welcoming but it was dated and the kitchen needed major improvements in utensils, flatware, glassware, pots and pans and place settings. Towels and bed linens were functional but not lush. Could have used small shampoos and conditioners as well as hair dryers, which are typical for rentals we have used.
