The area: Western North Carolina is a beautiful region in the Appalachian Mountains known for its stunning landscapes, outdoor recreation opportunities, and charming small towns. The region boasts numerous state and national parks, including Nantahala National Park, the Fires Creek Wildlife Management Area, and the Blue Ridge Parkway, which provide endless opportunities for hiking, fishing, mountain lakes, waterfalls, rivers, and more. Hayesville is a small town, nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. It is home to many historic buildings and landmarks, including the Clay County Historical and Arts Council, which showcases the region's rich cultural heritage. Hayesville is located near the highest point in Georgia, Brasstown Bald, which offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Another notable attraction in the area is Lake Chatuge, which spans the border between North Carolina and Georgia and is a popular spot for fishing and boating. The house is set in a beautiful meadow with sunset and sunrise views and is only minutes by car from downtown where you can dine at restaurants and breweries, enjoy outdoor festivities, and shop at local antique and gift shops that line the streets. A little further you will find golf courses and marinas with boat rentals for enjoying Lake Chatuge.

The space: House sits on a level 1-acre lot with Johnson Creek just steps away from the porch. Open floorplan featuring a modern, freshly updated, and well-stocked kitchen with all the amenities of home. Main level includes a master suite with king bed and sizeable bathroom. Upstairs there are two additional bedrooms, a library nook, and one bathroom. One upstairs bedroom features a king bed and the other a fun bunk room (with trundle - 2 twin mattresses and 1 double) for the kids or additional guests. The front yard is a large and level grass yard that stays freshly mowed throughout the growing season.

Other amenities on property include wifi, flat-screen TV with cable, outdoor grill, AC and Heat, outdoor fireplace with wood provided, indoor fireplace with gas logs, hairdryer, basic soaps, and linens and towels provided.

PLEASE NOTE: there is a 1 bedroom/1 bath carriage house connected by covered walkway that is also a vacation rental on the property (can also be used to add an additional bed and bath for your group). See VRBO property # 2719180 for information and availability. Perfect for guests joining you that may enjoy a little more privacy during your visit. Click "contact host" if you would like a quote to reserve both properties. Each has its own amenities.

Spend your vacation at this well-appointed property in Hayesville and enjoy endless views, cows grazing and turkeys trotting just across the creek, trout fishing, hiking, tubing, and the opportunity to do as much or as little as you'd like.

Everything about our stay was perfect! The home was beautiful, clean, and exactly as described. The creekfront setting was peaceful and so relaxing. The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and easy to communicate with. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely stay again.
