Get to know Plum Island with your own PRIVATE BEACH area.
Welcome to our beach home. We can't wait for you to fall in love with this location during your visit to Plum Island in Newbury, MA. Stays are booked Saturday to Saturday, in 7 day increments.
We are on the beach with miles of oceanfront to explore in either direction.
Location, location, location!!
The inside of the home is 2,524 sq ft. We are located just a 7 minute drive from shopping, restaurants, and activities in downtown Newburyport. Salisbury and Salisbury Beach are approximately a 15 minute drive. The house is right on the beach with a great view of the ocean, lots of natural light inside, calming sounds of the waves breaking on the beach, private beach access, and island restaurants and stores all within 2-15 minutes walking distance! This includes Plum Island Grille, Plum Island Kitchen, Plum Island Beach Coma, Plum Island Provisions, and The Cottage. We hope that you love it so much you will come back every summer.
To set expectations appropriately; the unit itself is not new construction (built in the 80s) nor is it ultra-modern inside. It definitely takes a beating from the weather every offseason with storms and shifting sands, but we try to diligently keep up with maintenance, the split-unit ACs work very well in the summer, and the whole unit has a really great, "beach cottage" feel to it.
Think: beach cottage.
I.e. this unit does not have the luxuries of a 5 star hotel but the location can't be beat and the space is ideal for a relaxing weeklong vacation with family or close friends.
This booking shares the private beach access space directly in front of it with unit 6B, below (Plum Royale Jr). That unit sleeps up to 6 adults. You can also walk directly onto the public beach in front, which goes for miles either north or south.
This is one of the BEST spots on the Island; easy to drive in and out, walking distance to all of the Island bars, restaurants, and stores, and directly on the beach.
Plum Island is not traditionally known for having ample parking but once you park you can walk all over the island :). There are 2 private parking spots on the property, but there are a number of public lots nearby for any additional cars, including one directly across the street with an automated pay station.
Please note: BBQ Grills are shut down for seasonal weather (November - April).
** There is a $200 security deposit that will be taken in addition to the reservation amount. This is fully refundable.
