Wonderful place! The views were absolutely stunning, and the sunroom was amazing. Multiple state parks in the area, plus beautiful beaches and the Olympic Discovery Trail; plenty of places for us to hike with our dog! We spent one day just relaxing and enjoying the sunroom, and I could have spent the whole trip there. It was amazing bird watching, and we even saw otters and deer. The cottage was so quiet and serene, it was the perfect getaway. We would absolutely come back!
Love this house and the location is magical. Perfect for a couple get away. Very private yard, amazing view of the lagoon, birds galore. Kitchen is well appointed, home is curated with interesting pictures and items to make it feel like home. Great location between Port Angeles and Port Townsend (our favorite) and the town of Sequim is cute with some interesting shop to explore. We wish we were able to come back, but it is not to be. Thank you Debbie and Mark!
We thoroughly enjoyed our recent return trip to this peaceful sanctuary. Everything in this well-appointed cottage made it easy to enjoy the natural beauty of this environment. Our host was a proactive and responsive communicator as usual, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout this spotless space. Looking forward to returning in the future!
Our second time staying at this cottage was just as delightful as the first. My favorite thing is that It's so quiet and peaceful (except for the evening congregation of geese (ducks?) which is a bit raucous but they settle down pretty quickly and we think they're amusing). The location seems isolated but it's only 5 minutes to our favorite restaurants, The Dockside at the John Wayne Marina and Tedesco's Italian Fresh in downtown Sequim. My husband says the Cedars at Dungeness, 10 minutes away, is a great golf course (but we don't recommend the restaurant there.)
The kitchen was equipped nicely. The property is pet friendly. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, and watching the tide come and go. Would go again for sure.
We would like to rate this place 1 star so that it is available more often :-) but that wouldn't be fair to Deborah who is an outstanding host! We are repeat visitors to the lagoon and had another exceptional stay and the massive blooming lilac in early May made it extra special. Highly recommended!
A deeply peaceful location--very quiet--with a wonderful view of a lagoon in a wildlife refuge. And the bungalow was very comfortable and clean with pleasing decor.
This was our 4th or 5th time here. To our minds, there’s no better lodging location. Coffee on the deck as the sun is about to rise over the Cascades, with Mt Baker, the Strait, Protection Island and the San Juan Islands all visible, is indescribably beautiful and relaxing. The grounds are manicured to the nines and the shorebirds are raucously entertaining. Tidal flows in the lagoon add to the beauty. There’s only one lagoon house with big water views. Close by to a county park, and numerous hiking trails (Dungeness River, Dungeness Spit, Miller Peninsula State Park, Point Wilson Light) are a short-moderate drive. This place is a one-off. Don’t miss it.
We love staying here! This was our second visit! The house is immaculately maintained. Just about everything is perfect! Can’t say enough good things! Great linen, wonderful kitchen, great coffee maker, and fabulous view! Our favorite pastime is sitting on the deck watching the birds and boats! So quiet and relaxing! The best!
The kitchen was well equipped, the sun room was absolutely beautiful and great for sipping coffee and watching the water, and the property was secluded and big so our dog could run and sniff and enjoy it!
