We enjoyed our stay at the Barndominium Farmhouse! The location was optimal for visiting the Shawnee National Forest, Cave-in -Rock, and the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail. The home had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable and plenty of space for our pup to explore. Would definitely stay again!

Clean and comfortable with fresh wildlfowers on the counter! ATV trails were great and really enjoyed exploring property. Tons of space both inside and out. Kitchen could use some TLC (dishwasher wasn't actually attached so had to be careful when opened and microwave door/handle had a lot of super glue all over it) but really minor things overall and would recommend!

It was an interesting property. Two living rooms, two kitchens, 4 bedrooms. Hunting lodge type decor which was really cool! We took our grandsons so they had their own relaxing space and we had ours. I’m petrified of mice so it was alarming to see all the mouse deterrents all over the house. It’s in the country so I guess it’s to be expected but I’m happy to report we didn’t see any! Honestly, the mattresses may need replaced as my husband and I kinda rolled to the middle. We had a bonfire and roasted marshmallows which was fun but we had to go to Dollar General to get a lighter. Owner needs to have lighters or matches. We couldn’t find any. I’d recommend bringing some food to prepare meals. There are no grocery stores close. It’s a fun place to stay with games, movies, etc.

We had an enjoyable stay. The house was very clean. There were too many air fresheners so we just unplugged them. A burner on stove doesn’t work, also the air mattress they provide goes flat quickly. We stayed with nine people so we used every bed available. The peacefulness and the privacy of the property made up for all of that. We loved the quiet and the whippoorwills and the frogs at night and the meadowlarks and other birds waking us up in the morning. We definitely would recommend staying here.
