We stayed here for a getaway weekend from Chicago for hiking and nature. The cabin felt very remote (it was!) and everything was as advertised. We used all the amenities including the hot tub, tv, and fire pit. It was very clean. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. I wish we had another day to spend more time at the cabin sitting on the porch watching the beautiful scenery.
Very private location which is why I chose it! The home was very clean and cute. Only complaint was the hot tub short circuits and you can't use it and that was one of the main reasons I picked that home. Other than that the home was lovely.
Loved the cabin. It was very homey. It reminded me of cabins we have seen as we drove through Tennessee. The re are special touches inside the cabin to make it feel like you are back in time, like the pot belly stove (for looks only) and the old time sink. Other things I enjoyed about the cabin were the views of the stars at night. This is truly remote. I think only a handful, if that, cars went by in a day. Very peaceful. If you are looking for quiet, this is the place.
Overall - we enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and everything. Our main complaint is with the hot tub. We booked this place because we wanted a hot tub to enjoy our evenings since there isn’t much to do in the area. When my Fiance first got in it was Luke warm - set at 103 degrees but was only got to 90 degrees the whole time we were in it. - was pretty chilly so wasn’t enjoyable for us. On top of this - when we used the jets the chemicals irritated & burned our eyes. - owners definitely need to check how much is actually going into the hot tub. My Fiance also got a chemical reaction on his back. He doesn’t get reactions normally so this was a bust for us.The bathroom outlet also wouldn’t allow me to use my curling iron. So had to do that without a mirror.
The cabin and land was wonderful, clean, cozy, quiet, private and easy to access and find. The hot tub was clean and warm. The Cabin was beautifully decorated, supplied and well maintained. The view from the porch was stunning for sunrises, sunsets and throughout the day. Definitely worth every penny we paid. We would recommend it to others and would seriously consider staying there again.
Unfortunately I can't say much good about our stay. The hot tub was never operational during our stay, 89 the whole time. Cabin was cleaned poorly as there were cob webs all over the cabin,a sock balled up in the corner, and dog dropping at the foot of the ramp to walk onto the porch. There is very little light on outside of cabin making coming and going in the dark difficult as well as using the fire pit. Shower head was placed very low making it difficult to shower I'm 5'10 and water only came up to my chest, wife found it exceptionally difficult to wash her hair. I also found that the contact number was wrong on page 1 of there check in book. Overall poor experience. It does have a bed and a nice view of the field from the porch
