A large home nestled in the pine trees in the high prairie.  Surrounded by wildlife and close to a lake. Off the road seclusion. Easy access to Forest Service land. Front porch for relaxing.

The spacious house has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathroom with towels and linens, and TV.  The full bath includes a shower, towels, shampoo, and bath soap.  Our guests can cook meals in the equipped kitchen or enjoy grilling outside.  The dining area has a table with 8 chairs.

Picture yourself sitting on the porch looking out at the meadow enjoying your morning coffee or a meal.

The cabin is just 17 miles from Hill City,  30 miles from Custer, 3 miles from Deerfield Lake and 29 miles from Mt Rushmore. There is a gravel road and gravel driveway to access the property.

Great cabin! The location is great. Cabin was very clean and ready for us. The master bedroom bed is due for an upgrade but we have no other complaints! Cabin was stocked with bathroom essentials which was nice too

Great Out of the Way Cabin

Awesome out of the way cabin! Very spacious and great views of the hills and the gilette prairie area for watching wildlife. Plenty of room for our trailer and easy access to black hills atv trails. Highly recommend this cabin if you want a secluded peaceful place to stay!

Great place to stay !

Nice place to stay off of the Beaten Path. Quiet and relaxing area. Stayed there for the Sturgis Rally and vacation. 3+1/2 mile gravel road was easy to ride and worth the trip.

Unplugged and off the beaten path

We had a little trouble finding the property (Apple Maps was bad, Waze was great), but once we did, we really enjoyed it. The serenity of nature and sound of the wind through the hills was incredible. Communication was excellent, and I highly recommend this getaway for the family needing to unplug for a while!

Quiet off the beaten path place to stay

This property was nice and clean. If you are looking for a place off the beaten path and away from traffic...this one is perfect. We enjoyed our stay here with our family for three nights. We had a small problem with toilet and the property manager promptly took care of the matter. We recommend it.

This was a disappointment from the beginning. The house was 52 degrees when we arrived.We wore coats for the first couple of hours while we waited for some heat. The ad for the property said it sleeps 10, which it did. However, there was only room for 6 people to watch TV. And only room for 6 at the table. But we were told in CAPS not to move the funiture. The hot water heater did not near keep up. Garbage had to be hauled or walked a fair distance. The pool table was really uneven. There was a farkel game but no dice. We left the ones we bought for the next family.But we did see deer and the view was really good. I won't be recommending it.

Family vacation

We really enjoyed our stay! The location is quite a ways outside of hill city, but we didn’t mind as we were just visiting the black hills and not necessarily just hill city. The pictures showed more things for kids to do in the yard than there is. There is a “play set” in the back with a platform and a slide with a ladder that wasn’t ideal for our 2 year old, but the older kids had fun playing with it. You cannot have a fire here which was ok but it would have been fun to be able to have a fire and s’mores. The house was clean and had enough space for our party of 10! (6 adults and 4 kids). We did notice some sediment in the water when the kids wanted to take baths one night (not a big deal). There wasn’t enough hot water to take a jacuzzi bath tho. The house does have a basement with the pool table but it isn’t finished so it gets pretty loud playing pool down there. We would definitely stay here again! The property manager was very friendly and quick to respond to questions.
