IMPORTANT TO NOTE:
*** PLEASE READ ***

• The interior stairs to the upper and lower levels are steep, so extra caution is advised for young children and older guests.
• Please be aware that bears are commonly seen in the area. Use caution when walking around corners, as sudden encounters can startle them. If you see a bear, maintain a safe distance and never try to feed, touch, or approach it. Always keep your vehicle locked to prevent bears from getting inside in search of food.
• The cabin is situated on a mountain, and the roads leading to it are steep, narrow, and winding. A 4-wheel drive is recommended, especially in poor weather. Snow, ice, fog, or rain can make driving hazardous, so it's best to check in before dark due to challenging road conditions and limited GPS or cell service.
• An electronic keypad is available for guest convenience, with the access code sent through the in-app messenger two hours before check-in. Check-in is at 4 PM and check-out is at 10 AM.

BOOKING REQUIREMENTS:
(by confirming your reservation, you agree to the following)

• Pets are allowed with an additional fee; they must be well-trained. Clean up pet hair and feces. Pet damage fees start at $300.
• No smoking or drug use allowed inside the cabin. Violations incur fees starting at $300.
• No glitter or confetti allowed. Cleanup will result in a $100 additional fee.
• Only flush toilet paper in the toilet—no feminine products or other materials. The septic system works well but will clog if misused. Improper flushing may result in damage charges up to $1,000.
• Place all trash in the cans inside the bear-proof containers and keep them closed at all times. Do not leave trash outside the cabin anywhere else.
• Please treat our home with care. Do not remove any furnishings or items from the cabin. Following inspection, damaged or missing items may result in a deduction from the security deposit or extra charges.
• The owners are not responsible for loss of personal belongings, accidents, injuries, or illnesses on the property.
• Guests assume all risks associated with their stay, including harm to themselves or others they invite.
• No refunds are given for storms, natural disasters, or road conditions.
• Children under 18 must be supervised in the hot tub. Use it at your own risk and consult a doctor if unsure. Do not stand on the cover—damage may result in a $350 charge. Always keep the cover on when not in use to retain heat.

What a blessing to stay here.

This cabin is gorgeous. The view of the mountains from the deck is beautiful. The bears that roam the neighborhood are both large adult size and small cubs. We saw at least one or two on the deck or in the yard per day during our week here. The bedrooms were comfortable to sleep in and the living room and game room spaces are perfectly set up to enjoy some rest after roaming the park. The kitchen is great for cooking and making coffee and it's nice and spacious for the family to hang out in. It thunderstormed one evening and we all enjoyed watching TV on the couch together and listening to the rain through the large A frame windows overlooking the deck. If I wanted to buy a cabin I'd like one just like this. The only negative I have to say is that we have a large old dog and the stairs on both levels are very steep so we had to hold him by his harness strap to keep him from falling down the stairs going down. He was fine climbing up but they're too steep for him to go down by himself so we had to take extra precaution moving around with him. If you bring an older dog be prepared to either stay on the bottom two levels to avoid the stairs all together or you'll be hanging on to the railing with one arm and bracing your dog with the other hand. I really hope we get to come back and enjoy this cabin again sometime. The location is fantastic for fishing the park, walking a dog on the Gatlinburg trail, or doing anything in downtown Gatlinburg. The host was very kind as well.

Beautiful Spot

The "cabin" is quite large and was great for our family (7 adults and 4 kids) from boston and Miami to have a reunion. The hosts are very responsive and will answer any question or concern quickly. Important to heed all of their suggestions, especiallly arriving in the daylight hours. The roads are very steep and have hairpin turns when least expected. There are no buffers, not even a small shoulder in many spots. Winter road closures, especially the last leg of the trip on 441, caused us to re-route to major roads, so be sure to check that out if coming from the south into Gatlinburg. The "bear warnings" are real, as we had 2 "guests" while there; one beside the balcony and one right at the front door! The amenities provided will not be enough for you if your stay is for more than a couple of days, so bring plenty of extra TP, paper towels, kitchen spices, soaps for the kitchen and laundry, garbage bags and toiletries, etc. There is a small market (like a 7/11) less than 5 min from the cabin, but you will have to go into town, a 15-20 min ride on windy roads if you want a regular grocery store. The rooms are nicely furnished and the views are just incredible. Thanks for making a memorable family reunion happen for us!

Great for multiple families

Beautiful, clean, comfortable, and fun for everyone. Stunning views. Parking for two cars. Beautiful hot tub and fire pit area. Hosts: helpful and communicative. How to get to Ober Amusement: Its a 6 minute drive further up the mountain from the cabin, or, you can drive down the mountain and take the tram up to Ober Amusement Park. Buy tickets in advance, things sell out, weather interferes. Downtown Gatlinburg: Drive down the mountain. 10 minute drive. Our Party: 4 adults and 5 kids. Ages: 8 months, 5, 7, 11, and 13. There is cookware, salt and pepper, tons of dishes and silverware. Bring: Aluminum foil, ex garbage bags, groceries, (driving at night is scary). There is a small corner store that isn't to far and a pizza place that delivers. There is a grocery store about 15 minutes away. Get groceries before going up the mountain. Baby gate is needed for at least the stairs in the kitchen.I didn't see one there so inquire or bring your own. Its multi level, young kids will need to be watched. Chalet, means cliffside, I know that now. I thought it meant fancy. This cabin is literally on the side of a mountain. The road on the way up is really intimidating at first. I wouldn't want to do my first drive at night. Dark, sharp turns and drops. Come with good tires, brakes and navigation. This was a vacation that we will never forget. *Rent UTV's, ski, snowboard, tube, mountain coaster, explore downtown, scenic lifts, tons to do located within minutes.

What a great place.

The house is beautiful and set in a perfect location. The parking is only big enough for 2 vehicles, but there is overflow parking. The house is weird because it's tilted to one side, which makess playing pool interesting. The view from upstairs is truly stunning particularly at night. The design and furniture work well together and is very well done. I wish I could have taken the kitchen with us.....it was gorgeous and well stocked. The little things matter like all the remotes in an easy to see basket, the basket of blankets, the visitor book, and even the welcome sign with all the information on it. The house was very clean and well taken care of. The only real negative is that the house was hot, but it's impossible to please everyone and everyone has different comfort temperatures. It was a great place, and we will definitely consider staying there again and even for longer trips.

Great Oasis

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Everything worked well and the access to the national park was just a short drive away. Even though we were located just a couple of minutes to Gatlinburg, it felt like we were in the wilderness. The views are extraordinary and the felling of seclusion from the deck is outstanding. The owners responded to questions in a matter of minutes. I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area.

Perfect family vacay

Well worth it! Most well appointed cabin that I we have stayed in. Extremely gracious hosts. Be aware that there are bears. Almost daily a young adult appeared. One evening mom and three cubs right on the deck. Fascinating- just be aware. Tucked up the mountainside you have easy access to Gatlinburg and pigeon forge

Family Vacation

Stayed in August with my family. 11 adults. Plenty of room for all. Loved that the kitchen had plenty of plates and glassware so we didn't have to constantly wash dishes. So many bears. We saw bears around the home at least twice each day. Steep hills to get to the home, but easy to navigate. The propane tanks for firepit and grill ran out while we we there and the owner promptly had them refilled. We loved the hot tub especially after hiking. Our stay was very enjoyable.

Excellent and Beautiful View

We had a hodge podge family reunion with my Mom’s cousins and friends, my Dad’s family, and my In laws. Most stayed at the chalet with others doing a simple day trip for a cook out or going to dinner downtown Gatlinburg. It was wonderful and we were even allowed to bring our two fur babies. The steps were a little steep for the seniors, but we made it work. We never made it to the hot tub as we were just so tired from exploring Gatlinburg, Dollywood, and Cades Cove. Location was perfect, but only space for two cars. This wasn’t a problem as the office let us park the other cars at their big lot and we simply shuttled people up and down which was not far at all. Highly recommend this property. We hope to return.

Great cabin

We loved our experience at this property. The updated kitchen, living room and downstairs made it a comfortable time. My only remarks are to let guests know the reality of parking. If we had one more vehicle we wouldn’t of fit. The bathroom fans could use a good clean as well. Otherwise very pleased!

Cabin was very spacious, nicely remolded. We had plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable.

The management team was awesome, always answered any questions we had. My only thing is the stairs are steep, so we did have to watch our little ones closer but other than that , I highly recommend the cabin.

Worth it

This place was great basically. Would recommend to most vacationers. Keep reading for more detailed review. Our group was 8 people from 8 to 84 years old. Pro- Clean, Renovated, Great Views, Pool Table, Five bedrooms and plenty of other sleeping spots, two fireplaces (one gas downstairs and one wood burning on main level), location was great right by OberGatlinburg! Con- Prob not the best option for fat people, stairs are very steep (old, very young, or fat people beware) Not Pro or Con- It is up the mountain! The drive for some of our group was scary while others loved it. We actually had snow come in during our stay and had to plan to be snowed in for a couple of days but the street crews had the roads cleared no problem. We had a problem getting in because I locked us out, the property manager was nice but I messed up more than she could help us so the owners had to show up and were sooo nice!
