The air conditioner could only keep the house at 80 degrees, even after a repair man came over. The elevator got stuck every day and we needed to flip the circuit breaker daily to reset it. Some days that did not work and we had to carry my disabled wife down three flights of stairs. Even after the pool was cleaned there was algae on all the walls and the pool cleaner told me it was the best he could do. The view was great. I would not expect these issues for the price!

Hi Angela- When someone called about the HVAC on 8/18 we had a technician come out right away. He fixed some wiring, and the unit was working properly. He told us that the main living room doors were all open. The temperature that day and most of the week you stayed was 98 degrees, and with the heat index it felt like 115 degrees. HVAC units can only cool about 20-25 degrees below the outside temperature. This information is on all the manufacturing labels and you research this online. On Sunday the 16th when you called about the elevator, we sent someone immediately. They found that the elevator needed a reset because someone was opening the door before it reached the designated floor it was called to. This is a safety feature. Tyler showed someone in your group how to use it properly and we were never called again about it during your stay. We are sorry about the pool algae, we were never notified, or we would have called the pool cleaners back. We hope you will give us another chance next time you are on Isle of Palms.

They always work and try very hard to meet all our requests and concerns. Could not be happier! This is our second stay in this particular home - 6 adults, 5 kids - 3 generations! We honestly loved every minute! The house, the huge amazing pool - which pretty much sits on the sand of the beach - all amazing! Kids ages 8-12 loved! Parents and grandparents couldn't be happier! Close to town and Sullivans Island - short drive to Charleston. Views from inside the home and outside the home are breathtaking! We were all so sad to leave this amazing week of fun and beauty! Great vacation home in Isle of Palms

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our annual family vacation was in Isle of Palms, SC this year. We rented a 6 bedroom home through East Island Rentals. The home has a swimming pool and is directly on the beach. The home is perfect for a large family or group stay. Our grandkids loved the pool and the easy access to the beach. House is very comfortable and worked great for us. Only a couple of slight negatives - there is construction going on both sides of the house and we woke up every morning to the sounds of construction at 7:30 each morning. Second, there are a lot of steps and the elevator does not work. The kitchen and main living room are up two flights of stairs from the ground level. We will absolutely come back.

We also apologize for any inconvenience caused by the elevator however, we check it between each guest stay and it worked fine prior to your arrival and after your departure for the next guest. Residential elevators can be quite finicky and if opened before it is level, it will auto lock down for safety purposes. We could have easily come and reset it for you. Beautiful property, but construction next-door was disruptive

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house and property were beautiful and in a perfect location. Unfortunately construction happening next-door was extremely disruptive. Hammering and sawing started earlier than 8 AM and went through the weekend. Dust and debris made it difficult to enjoy the beautiful backyard and made the pool dirty and unusable. The property management company was very responsive to getting the pool cleaned up, but I do feel like this should have been disclosed prior to our booking. I’m sure once the next-door construction is done, the property will be a fantastic place to stay.

Oceanfront heaven! Our group of 6 friends really enjoyed our long weekend at this beautiful home. Views for days….we really enjoyed having our breakfast and coffee on the porch, taking in the stunning views. Followed that up with yoga by the pool, a nice long walk on the beach, shower, and easy Uber into Charleston for shopping, dinner, tours and nightlife. Perfectly balanced trip with a little something for everyone. The rooms were very comfortable. Would definitely return!

Great family vacation

Loved proximity to beach. Place was clean, had good supply of kitchen ware, linens and towels. Could have used more bathrooms, 4 bedrooms small with limited space for luggage, shared 2 small bathrooms. Overall, We had a good time.

Perfect family beach vacation

Perfect location; large, clean pool; plenty of room for everyone. We loved walking daily on the beach. Plenty of room for eating and playing games inside and out. Lots of towels. Loved the closeness to downtown Charleston.

The location is perfect, close enough to everything you need but very private with very few people on this part of the beach. The layout of the house worked great for our family with plenty of room to spread out. We cooked most evenings and the kitchen had everything we needed. We also appreciated having the grill and used it several times. We loved the pool and the convenience of the beach being steps away from the house. We're definitely coming back next year!
