We were in town for the Caverns. The stay at Jalepeno house was a pleasant surprise. Its way bigger on the inside than it looks and has a really cool use of space. The dogs loved the yard.

House was very nice but had a couple issues. Found hair in one bed and mouse poop in one bedroom. Aunt was gonna use coffee pot but was dirty. The rest of the appliances were clean. Asked what to do for checkout but owner never messaged me back. A deep cleaning is needed.

Overall, this was a good stay and it served its purpose for our visit. The home was clean, check-in was easy, and we didn’t have any major issues during our stay. That said, compared to some of the other unique places we stayed on this trip, this one felt like it could use some TLC. The adobe home has a lot of potential and plenty of charm, but it didn’t quite feel as cared for as other places we’ve stayed. One thing to note is that the listing described the location as walkable. We personally didn’t find there was much within easy walking distance, but we were also only there for one night along our route. Even with those things in mind, we had a comfortable stay and appreciated having a clean place to rest.

Home away from home

Our family, including a small dog, loved our stay at The Jalapeño. We are so glad we opted to stay there instead of a hotel. The location was perfect, and the house was very comfortable for all. We would definitely stay here again.
