This place actually turned out to be way nicer than the pictures suggested (probably because they were winter pictures at the time of booking)! Would highly recommend to others and would love to stay here again in the future.

My family had such a wonderful week on the lake, and we are already talking about making it a yearly trip. The cabin had everything we could possibly need, including lots of little thoughtful additions. We really appreciated how everything was labeled and easy to find. The house was beautiful and very clean, and the lake was so quiet and serene. We really enjoyed using all the paddle boards and floating picnic table, and we loved having nightly ping pong tournaments in the game room downstairs. Overall it was a lovely way to get away from everything and just relax!

Great property for a family vacation. The family enjoyed the finished basement with foosball and ping pong tables. There were lots of paddle boards and kayaks to choose from and great range of sizes of life jackets .The inside of the cottage is roomy, beautiful and clean. The kitchen is well stocked and everything is labeled.

Chris was extremely responsive and communication was great! The home had everything we needed (even down to a baby gate to keep the pups on the massive deck!)We will absolutely go back for the warmer weather to swim. We did utilize the kayaks which turned out to be our favorite part of the stay.

Beautiful home. Traveled with family, mother in law and pups. All went well. Weather was typical New England April weather, but that made the hot tub that much more enjoyable! The host was very responsive! Overall a great stay. It would be great in the summer!!

Beautiful house with plenty of space for everyone and our dogs. Chris was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. We really enjoyed using the kayaks. The house is in a small cove so very easy to get in the kayaks and head out into the lake. There is a good size screened in porch - great place to sit in the evenings. There is also a large deck with a grill, hot tub, outdoor table/chairs and lounge chairs - we used the baby gates to block the steps off the deck so our dogs could safely enjoy being outside with us. We had most of our meals and early morning coffee out on the deck. The kitchen has everything you could need and an empty cabinet for you to store your food items. Plenty of comfortable seating for everyone. The house is down a hard packed dirt road but easily managed.

Annette, thank you for this! Glad the cove made kayak launches so easy and that the deck ended up being home base for meals and morning coffee with the dogs safely set up behind the baby gates. Hope to have you all back on the lake again soon! -Chris

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy, well-equipped property. There were plenty of options for indoor entertainment, and our kids especially loved the ping pong table. The atmosphere was relaxing throughout our vacation, and the host, Chris, was always quick to respond to our questions. We visited outside of summer, so we missed out on kayaking and outdoor activities, but the place would be even more beautiful during warmer months.

Beautiful lake vacation

This property is one of a kind, a log “cabin” (beautiful house) with a large yard right on the lake. There was tons to do, kayaks, floats, games, a huge deck to eat dinner outside and plenty of bedrooms for everyone to have their privacy.

Everything about the stay was super easy and Chris was great at communicating. He provided an extensive list of info about the property and all the amenities and responded quickly to any questions. The property itself was great and the perfect spot for a long weekend to catch up with old friends. We had everything we needed and actually only left once just to check out other views of the lake. I would definitely recommend this property if you're looking for a great spot in nature with easy lake access. I hope to visit again!

When the vacation plans make it out of the group chat! This spot was a wonderful place to have a moms trip. The house was beautiful. They had a ton of very useful supplies and everything was labeled. Excellent house and communication from the host

Our family including two small children had a wonderful trip at the Lodge at Balch Lake. Chris had excellent communication throughout our stay and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. We were also pleasantly surprised that the primary bedroom has a mini split AC unit and the bunk room has a window AC unit so there was AC throughout the home which was an update to the listing! We also used the pack and play and baby gates for our toddler and were impressed with all of the labels throughout the home letting us know where things were. The sandy beach was easy with our small children and they loved playing on the shore and being able to easily walk in the water. We also enjoyed the kayaks and floats. An overall wonderful stay!

We booked this house for some much needed family respite. To start, the listing drew us in with the uniqueness of the property and all of the amenities provided. We were looking for a place we didn't have to leave, but rather just hang out and enjoy. This was it! The hosts provide all a guest needs and MORE! You can tell they really put thought into what people will require while away from home and strive to give you as much as they can to serve their guests. It is obvious that they desire for folks to feel at home and on vacation while staying in their space. The game room was a huge hit with our children and even the adults. The kayaks and paddleboards were awesome, and their location on the water is prime for parents. The beach is set up in such a way that the kids can be playing in the cove with the boats and boards and the adults can relax and supervise. We appreciated the QR codes around the house as well. The owners are super communicative and the most timely hosts we have ever interacted with. Our entire family enjoyed the stay and plan to go back!
