Note: if the cabin is available on the same day of booking, VRBO, may not allow you to book, please reach out to us, we have a work around. About this cabin….This was originally a woodshop that was used to mill lumber, and do all the work for the property. We converted it to a large open area bunkhouse. 1 private bedroom downstairs, and then a large area for lots of people to enjoy and sleep in upstairs. The lower level has a HUGE kitchen, and open area, along with games, and large television. Sit on the deck and enjoy the outdoors listening to the birds and animals. Or you can move your group to the campfire to share some memories, or create new ones. During the day, you can go sit, swim, or float in the creek. In the late 1830's the Hildebrand-Beck Mill was being built, right across the street from our property, along the creek. It was one of the oldest working mills in the U.S. During the civil war, federal troops occupied this land. After the war, in 1872 Ezekial Proctor accidentally shot Pauline Hildebrand and touched off a feud that resulted in an shootout at the Goingsnake Court House. The threads of the tapestry of history have woven in and out on this quiet setting

We surprised our kiddos with a Christmas get away, hallmark movie theme. This cabin was PERFECT!! We decorated sugar cookies, played minute-to-win-it games, enjoyed the fire pit, hot chocolate, popcorn, and Christmas movies. The shuffle board, darts, puzzles and board games at the cabin were a much appreciated addition and we thoroughly enjoyed competing and making so many fun memories. The cabin was super clean and had everything we needed! They have truly thought of everything- baby bed, highchair, lots of towels, extra blankets, games/puzzles, kitchen utensils, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, fire wood, dog crate, etc. Highly recommend! Kids are already asking when we can go back. Thanks for sharing your beautiful cabin with us and allowing us to create special Christmas memories!!
We had a great stay at the bunkhouse. You can tell that this property is a labor of love for the owner, and they really go the extra mile to make sure their guests are fully accommodated. The bunkhouse was so charming and full of so many fun things to do as a family. The entire property is so inviting and family friendly. My kids loved the scavenger hunt! We plan on returning during the summer!
This was our second time staying at the bunkhouse! Our family loves it! There are plenty of games and activities to do inside for a more relaxing day, or there are activities outside if you want to get out! The kids love playing in the creek and the bunkhouse is located close enough that we could go everyday! Its also just a short drive from town. Our kids keep asking to go back, and I think that speaks for itself!
The bunkhouse served as an excellent gathering point for family and friends throughout the graduation weekend. Darts and Shuffleboard and Galaga were in play!
Overall we had a great time at the bunk house. If you have pets there is plenty of space for them to run, play, and walk outside. They had some dog kennels available. Plenty of things to do inside dart board, shuffle board, and other things. We had a group of 16 and plenty of room. Only complaint is that one cabin sits fairly close to the bunk house and bottom restroom doesn't lock, but they weren't very big deals.
Our family of 7 stayed in the bunkhouse. Everything was perfect. Very clean, appliances worked, heating and air on point. The property was beautiful. Our kids loved exploring the creek and relaxing by the fire and on the hammocks. Towels, soaps, and firewood provided. Excellent communication with the super friendly owners and easy check in process. Not far from highway so easy to find. Cannot wait to come back next year!
This was a beautifully redone property. Everything is brand new with access to a beautiful creek. Property manager was so helpful. Very nice place to stay
