Come see the stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico from this top-floor unit and enjoy free seasonal beach service for two (two chairs and umbrella set up for you each day!)
This unit offers 2 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths (Jack and Jill style) with a King master and a Queen guest room, along with a memory foam Queen sofa-bed in the living area. You can access the large balcony that overlooks the Gulf and Gulf-side pool through the sliding glass doors from the living area or Master bedroom. The unit comes fully equipped with linens, towels, a fully stocked kitchen, and everything you need to enjoy your relaxing vacation at the quiet end of Okaloosa Island.
In addition, the El Matador complex offers a number of amenities including the sugar-white sand beaches, 2 (1 gulf front and 1 seasonally heated) pools, grills, basketball, pickle ball, and tennis courts, Sauna/whirlpool, fitness room and so much more!

Wonderful beachfront condo!

Great location, very clean! Loved the balcony. Big plus was the three beach chairs to use on our pretty days without having to go buy some (we flew in). My daughter was comfy on the pull out sofa bed in living room. :). Would stay again

Great location, out of the hustle and bustle of Destin but close enough to make a quick trip if need be. The unit and facility was very well kept. Very close to the beach. Will definitely stay again!

This was the perfect spot for a quiet and relaxed getaway. The amenities offered kept our visit completely stress-free, even with many areas in town being closed for the holiday. The neighbors were extremely friendly, and the guys at the guard house very helpful. And the beach access was fantastic!

The beach couldn't be nicer, the sand was as soft as corn starch. Definitely a bonus having the beach service included. The extra beach toys were very much appreciated. I wish there was at least salt and more than a half roll of toilet paper upon arrival. Will definitely be back to this slice of heaven on earth.

Aw the Gulf

Condo was very clean, amenities were as stated, beautiful setting on the Gulf of Mexico. It also was very quiet and peaceful, El Matador is the last condos on the west side of Oskaloosa Island. The only recommendation I could make is replacing the dishwasher. Other than that it was great!

Very Nice

We have spent many enjoyable vacations at El Matador. The property is well maintained and we like that the beach is not overcrowded. The only downside to our stay in 367 was that we saw both adult and small roaches in the kitchen area. I was distressed that we would bring them back to our home. I hope this is issue is addressed by the owners.

Perfect location & Condo was wonderful!

We loved our stay here! The condo was perfect-clean, specious, full kitchen with everything we needed to cook our meals for the week. The beds were super comfy. The view was beautiful! We didn’t want to leave! We will definitely stay here again. The location was perfect!! Away from the crazy busy areas, but close enough we could drive to the Harbor in 10 minutes for excursions etc. The beach at the condo is absolutely perfect. My husband and I loved it for us but also our 3 kiddos. This was by far the prettiest beach we have visited in Florida. We spent hours at the beach alone. The pool was perfect temp and fun to go to at nighttime! Everyone we ran into was super friendly in this area also. Check in was super easy also!

Perfectly fine, aging, great view and location

This place would be a perfect to "snowbird" away the winters. The complex itself was very well kept up and clean with a lot of amenities and plenty of friendly people. The location is fairly perfect for peace and quiet but is a bit of journey to the nearest restaurant but we just grocery shopped and walked down for a lunch and dinner on nice days. Off hand I would guess 2 miles drive to the nearest restaurant (I recommend Stewby's) and maybe a 3 mile walk down the beach to the fishing pier. The unit had a very well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds and couch. Also, being on the top floor you didn't have to worry about kids running above you which seems to be an endless problem with condos. There were some small details such as multiple burned out light bulbs and a noisy bedroom floor and a broken tine and missing blind in the bedroom etc. but I think that kind of thing happens at all rentals. I would rent again.

Bad experience bad owners

We had to come in for a cheer competition then also had a death in the family we were here for last min. Did not come in till 12am drive all night and with the circumstances did not remember to mention our medical service dog was with us. Condo was pretty clean but there was dried toothpaste on all sinks. The lobby area was covered in water every day which was very slippery and smelled weird. Our service dog only lays on the floor and got a few hairs on a cheap blanket from the closet the owners had zero compassion for us or our circumstances and took the opportunity to charge us full deposit for a blanket. They also were asking for documentation that they are not legally allowed to ask for when it comes to service animals. I would absolutely not recommend staying here as they are looking for any reason or hair to take the deposit. Even after we offered to replace a thin cheap blanket. Worst experience at a VRBO yet.
