A Boaters Paradise on the Dora Canal in Central Florida

--->. Let's talk about the accommodations, the Dora Canal Inn is a 3 bed 2 bath private home with almost a 100 feet of shoreline directly the Dora Canal. The home has a peaceful and natural landscape under a canopy of trees but is surprisingly located in Downtown Tavares. This beautiful newly furnished vacation home offers 4 Roku smart tv's, one in the living room and one in each bedroom. We include Free Wifi, two desks for working or for make up. Both the King bedroom & Queen bedroom each have memory foam mattresses and vibrating adjustable bed bases. There are "black out" curtains in all bedrooms and even the 3rd bedroom has 2 comfy Twin beds with memory foam mattresses. There is a Coffee bar with Keurig Coffee pot in the dining room, a washer & dryer, a Dyson cordless Vacuum, ironing board even a cooler for boating or picnics. The house is generously stocked with plenty of towels, kitchenware and utensils for the full size kitchen and BBQ grill. There is plenty of room for multiple cars and or trucks and trailers in the driveway and on the dead end street out front. Still want more, we also offer a battery powered golf cart for cruising around downtown Tavares. ( Holds four people and requires an additional waiver to be signed adult drivers only ).

---> The Dora Canal Inn is the perfect location for a short or long term "activity filled" vacation rental. You can bring your boat(s) or RENT OURS and park them at our extra large boat house and dock. There are 2 boat slips, 1 covered ( 9.5' wide x 24' long ) and 1 uncovered ( fits any boat up to 28 feet long ). NO BOAT you can reserve and RENT OUR SouthBay Tri-Toon Pontoon Boat with 90 HP Yamaha outboard that seats up to 10 people. From our dock you can fish and watch boats all day and night. The Harris Chain of lake is HUGE there are over 45,000 acres of waterways to explore that are all part of the Chain of Lakes and the Dora canal connects them ALL. Lake Dora ( 1/4 mile South on the Dora Canal ) is known for the "SAND BAR" a Boat Gathering / Swim area and also directly accesses Downtown Tavares & Downtown Mt. Dora, they both have Free Marinas & City Docks where you can park your boat and explore the towns. Lake Eustis ( 3/4 mile North on the Dora Canal ) & The Dead River are great for fishing and have multiple waterfront bars and restaurants with ample and Free boat parking. Staying longer than a few days may give you enough time to explore all the Restaurants & Bars on "Big" and "LIttle" Lake Harris, or visit Lake Beauclair where you can park your boat at the Deer Island Country Club and play golf on one of the most scenic golf courses in Central Florida or just grab a drink at the clubhouse.

--->. What do you like to do while on vacation? We have fishing rods and tackle here for you to use day or night. Want to try kayaking, we have 4 KAYAKs, PADDLES and life jackets in all sizes. What can we do after dark? Make it a "BlockBuster Night" we have OVER 100 DVDs movies you can watch FOR FREE. Feeling competitive, try our 2 player video game table with over 60 games including Donkey Kong, Galaga and Pac Man. Not into video games we have also have playing cards, board games, air hockey, "outdoor corn hole" bags & boards, and even an electric piano-organ for your enjoyment. Or my favorite activity after a long day on the water is to light up a fire in our Fire Pit and relax on the patio area, and YES we include FREE Firewood and S'more Kits with every rental. Not a boater that is fine too you can "watch" boats and really anything that floats or paddles traveling up and down the Dora Canal from the largest tour boats and cruisers to the smallest fishing boats, jet skis and kayaks. Love nature, you can water birds fish and hunt, squirrels gathering nuts and if your lucky you can see live alligators, otters and manatees swimming right off the dock. You can even watch and feed the fish at night with our underwater dock lights.

This is also a 3 bedroom 2 bath house with many of the same amenities "less" the golf cart option. Rent both house for a multiple family vacation or weekend getaway! Rules & Policies:
No pets allowed. No smoking of any kind allowed inside the property or garage. No drugs, firearms, fireworks or open flames such as candles. (Battery operated candles provided). No events, parties or large gatherings. No glitter or confetti permitted.
No parking on the lawn/grass without permission.
Must be at least 25 years old to book and person booking must be staying on the property. (Maximum number of guests staying on the property is 6) Photo ID is required for booking.

Note: This property has 4-5 steps at all entry accesses. (Front door, back doors and garage). It also features two external security cameras that record 24/7 with audio, to monitor the property for safety and security purposes. These cameras are NOT monitored during guests stay. Camera locations: One ring doorbell camera located at the front door (facing the porch and driveway) and one facing the side of the house with the firepit and sliding glass door. No security camera looks into or is located in interior spaces. Tampering with wifi or security cameras is not allowed.
