Thank you for staying with our small local Joshua Tree company, Hi-Desert Dwellings. We hope your time here was filled with great moments and lasting memories, and we look forward to hosting you again!
My wife and I had a wonderful time here. We were able to spend time in Joshua Tree National Park and cool off in the pool at this house with an amazing view. Lots of nearby restaurants for when we didn’t want to cook, and the kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast and diner at the house. The house felt private and up on a hill looking into the valley. It’s very pet friendly which was important to us. Would recommend here to others!

Gorgeous gorgeous beautifully maintained property. All of the amenities, space, and location to the town made our stay so delightful. The kitchen was stocked with basics which made grilling outdoors such a nice experience. I would definitely book again or recommend to a friend.

This was our first trip to Joshua Tree, and this Airbnb definitely made it a great experience. Everything was exactly as described. One of the larger bedrooms was perfect for our three teenage boys. There was plenty of room for them to spread out, and it almost felt like they had their own little living room with a TV, where they could stay up late and catch up on their favorite shows. The outdoor area is also worth mentioning. The pool is not huge, but we had six teenagers in it at once and they were still able to play and have fun. We made great use of the pool all three days of our stay.My favorite part was the view. The house sits on a small hill, giving us a beautiful, wide-open view of the valley below, the sky, and the clouds. At night, it was a perfect place for stargazing. The five hammocks were such a great touch. Sitting there with friends and family reminded us to slow down, relax, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We did have some trouble with the Wi-Fi, but the hosts were very attentive and tried different ways to help. I think it was partly because the location does not have the strongest cell service, and we also had about 10 people using the Wi-Fi at the same time.Overall, we had a wonderful stay and made some great memories here. We would definitely come back again.

Thank you for such a thoughtful review, Laura! We’re thrilled Rancho helped make your family’s first Joshua Tree trip so memorable, from the pool and spacious accommodations to the beautiful valley views, stargazing, and hammocks. We appreciate your patience with the Wi-Fi and are glad our team could be there to help. It sounds like you made some wonderful memories, and we’d love to welcome you and your family back for another desert getaway!
Property was perfect for the 6 of us! Everyone had their own bed, outside space was amazing and we spent LOTS of time there! Grilling and cooking was easy....would definitely stay again and highly recommend!
Well maintained stylish home that is just as pictured. The views from the expansive deck were fabulous amy tile
of day or night. Great place to celebrate or to just relax and ground yourself. Beds are very comfortable plenty of nooks and spaces to share and enjoy. Spacious and perfectly appointed with small details that make it feel like home. Will be back for sure!
The property was so lovely and perfect for our group with mostly adults and one baby. The house was spacious and there were so many different little zones for us to hang out in between the back deck and the living room area. My friends cooked a gorgeous birthday dinner and the kitchen was really well stocked with serving dishes to make it all that much nicer. Pool was too cold to swim in but folks enjoyed the hot tub and we hung out around the pool happily nonetheless.
Slow communication. Had to ask for check in instructions. Pictures over exaggerate the size of the house and the pool. Rules are unnecessarily strict. Basically don’t book here unless you are having a quiet retreat.

HI Geoff, we are sorry if you felt like the pictures were misleading, we do have the information in the house profile about the size of the pool and the pictures of the house are done by a professional photographer - without any special effects - just a normal lens. We do send out check-in and checkout instructions 24-hours before arrival, however they will not send if the reservation has not been paid in full, or if the ID verification has not been completed.
The property accommodates 8 people and accepts a pet. Unfortunately, there are only two bathrooms, but for a short stay it’s not become a problem.
We didn’t have hot water, as there was a problem with the tank.
The good thing is that they were responsive and sent a handy man. The bad thing is that the first two times he didn’t solve anything until he came with tools to solve the problem, which he did the day prior to our check out
The prpoerty is amazing the house was very clean and beds and bedding was very nice. Very well equipped and the family loved the stay. Would definitely be back if we are in the area again. Thank you.
