Beautiful home in a stunning location
We really cannot say enough good things about this special place! It was beautifully decorated, cozy but spacious, and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked, and beds and linens were top-notch.
It is just a short walk to Cape Neddick Beach, and outside every window we had views of beautiful fall foliage.
We hope to return again!
We had a wonderful stay at this property. It is a 5 min walk to one of my most favorite beaches (Cape Neddick beach) and centrally located to downtown York and Ogunquit. The house is well maintained and well-stocked. The property is private and secluded with a beautiful view of the inlet. Would highly recommend this property. Looking forward to staying here again.
We had a great long weekend in this beautiful property! Close to the beach and in a very private setting. Also loved how easy it was to enjoy an evening out in Ogunquit!! Perfect getaway for a couple families needing some time by the ocean.
Beautiful place with everything you could want or need for a getaway by the coast. The trail to the river was nicely maintained. Bed's were extremely comfortable, firm but not too firm. The screen porch was wonderful right off the kitchen. We even had a deer visit us on our first morning! Only downside was the beds had to be made upon arrival which is pretty common with vacation rentals.
The house is just as described if not better. Amazing woodwork throughout. Spacious and cozy. Fireplace was nice. Kitchen has nice appliances and everything you need. House is very private but super close to York village. No flaws here. Would definitely recommend this place. Thanks for the great stay!
This is a gorgeous property right on the water that provides a sense of being away from it all and yet manages to be a short distance to many lovely destinations and shopping. We stayed here for Christmas and it was heavenly. The kitchen is a true chef’s kitchen and we did not want for any supplies. All of the bedrooms have views out to the water. The construction is new. I could go on and on. We can’t wait to come back!

Loved the house on Cape Neddick!!!!
This house was by far the best vacation rental I have ever had. The location was superb. We had a 5 month old baby and being that close to the beach and the river was a god send. We could walk back and forth to the beach easily for naps and lunch. We took advantage of the boat launch several evenings for late paddle board rides.
The house was beautifully appointed. It had absolutely everything we needed and more. It was lovely to hang out at the house while the baby napped. We took full advantage of the screened porch and deck. It was so relaxing to sit and watch the deer in the yard or play games.
I highly recommend this vacation rental and hope to rent it again next year. Thanks so much!
Only wished we could have stayed longer. Our family of 4 from CT joined family of 1 from Maine for a brief few days reunion. The house was very clean, beautifully decorated and had perfect amenities (ie: gas fireplace, comfortable living room with big screen TV, screened in porch for our morning coffee, kitchen was equipped with everything you could want and it was nice having the extra half bath off the kitchen; and that was just the downstairs. Upstairs equally as nice with lots of space. Jan was very informative and timely when offering feedback on any of our questions - this house will not disappoint!
We traveled to Cape Neddick for a Fall getaway and weren't disappointed with our stay! Just a lovely home, close to everything yet very secluded. The gas fireplace added just the right amount of heat. Keep the TV on the mantle away from the edge as it tends to heat up. Lots of games and puzzles to choose from. The kitchen is fully stocked, just bring your own food.
One word of caution in the kitchen...watch your footing around the island as the barstools' legs at the base are on an angle and stick out...all of us stubbed our toes multiple times during our stay. Safe to say, we were not used to the design.
There's a nice sitting area down the path to the river and wildlife; birds, deer (just outside the window by the deck), and the occasional chipmunk!
All in all...very enjoyable, peaceful, relaxing mini vacation. we will be returning to this terrific property in the future! Thanks Elizabeth and Jan!
The house was just as advertised. Had a great getaway. House was lovely. It had everything you could think of needing in the kitchen. We would definitely rent again.
We loved our stay! We just wanted a relaxing weekend in a place that felt clean (2020 and all). This place delivered! Not only that, but it is beautiful!! We were so happy to hang around the big kitchen island and it was so cozy. You won't be disappointed with this place and I can't wait to go back :)
This home is absolutely beautiful. We were in the area celebrating my brother's 60th birthday and this home accommodated my family comfortably. There was nothing the owner did not think of. We had everything we needed and way more! The home is beautifully decorated and was truly a home away from home!
This house is simply beautiful. Big, open floor plan with wonderful wood finishes and beams. The rooms are all lovely and comfortable. The beds are a dream!
The screened in porch was cozy to enjoy a morning tea. The deck is equipped with seating and a grill which made for a nice outdoor meal.
All the appliances are very modern and easy to use. The host has done a marvelous job of stocking the house with everything you could possibly need. There is no need to bring anything from home!
As said in the description it is a short walk to Cape Neddick beach which is a lovely little beach. Just be careful if you have little ones because you are walking on a road for a bit of it and not on a sidewalk.
The house is very private and set back in a wooded area. There were many lovely butterflies swooping around which was gorgeous to see. And also a flock of wild turkeys that came to visit each day. A small path is located at the back of the house which leads to the river, and there is a small bench to enjoy the view. The view is much better at high tide.
From each window is a wonderful view of the woods and through the trees you can see the river. I believe the pictures in the photos are from late fall or early spring, so the leaves are off the trees, giving a more unobstructed view. We loved being surrounded by trees and nature so it was no big deal for us.
This house is truly a dream house and I highly recommend.
Randy Barnhart - Stay for week of June 29th - July 6th,2019
This home set the stage for a wonderful family vacation during the week of Fourth of July! The house represents the very best of the Arts and Crafts design movement. Lots of thought went into the design and furnishings. Simply beautiful. My wife was thrilled with the kitchen which would delight any Chef. The appliances are restaurant grade and it made food preparation a very nice experience where several people could get involved with the cooking. We picked up some ideas from this kitchen which we plan on incorporating into our home.
The living quarters are spacious and well appointed. A total of 5 adults stayed at the property and everyone had plenty of space and privacy. The central air conditioning works fine. In addition, it was a treat to sit in the screen in porch and watch the activity on the adjacent water way. At high tide each day, we would watch the teenagers enjoying themselves on the water and jumping off the nearby bridge into the water below. Nice to see folks enjoying themselves the old fashioned way without smart phones in their hands. On the Fourth of July we were able to sit in the screened in porch and view the fireworks from York Beach as well as the nearby beach. Nice not to have fight the local fireworks traffic.
The beach was a short walk away and we spent plenty of time there. I like to kayak and was able to schlepp my kayak on a path thru the woods and launch it off a bank on the property. It was such a treat to be able to stash my kayak in the woods and launch it whenever I liked. I also did a lot of biking while there. Most of the roads have a substantial bike lane and I frequently rode to Ogunquit. Beautiful ride.
This house made for the perfect vacation and we plan on renting it for the same time next year. In closing, our thanks to the owner for sharing this gem with the rest of us. Thank you for your efforts in creating this masterpiece.
