Lovely large property which was clean and well maintained, had everything we needed for our stay. Our host Enio was very welcoming and helpful and although he spoke no English and we spoke no Italian we manage to communicate using the translator app on our phones, he gave us lots of information via WhatsApp in regard to the buses and places to visit. The pool was set amongst lots of greenery and we had rain for the first 2 days of our arrival, this seemed to bring out the mosquitoes in force so we didn’t use the pool area much during our stay, I would suggest you take lots of insect repellantThe aircon was an extra payment of 1 per kw which we were aware of before we arrived, we realised that if we had it on all the time we would have had a large bill at the end so we only used it when absolutely necessary, There were a number of places serving drinks and food but we found a couple of little gems Tiffany Caffe : this was great for drinks and the hosts we extremely welcoming, only downside was it closed at 8pm Pizzeria II Chiodo : the food at this restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced, however be careful what you ask for as the steaks we ordered where huge Be aware that there is very little on the way of footpaths, the road is very busy and can be quite scary, especially at night, There is a very good bus service to Lucca and Viareggio, you can pay using tap on tap off with a debit card and the price for each was less than 6 return Loved it here
