Beautiful views, pet friendly, had everything in this cabin and more.Very clean and lots of space. Very close to everything.Lake Lure and Chimney Rock are open.Roads are open some maybe down to one lane but very easy process
We thoroughly enjoyed the locations of facilities! The owner was extremely good in responding quickly, and taking care of things the best that could be done.
Enjoyed everything the house had to offer. Plenty of space and was close enough to the village and Chimney Rock to get out of the house for a little while.
Absolutely wonderful, the area, the house, very close to so many things to do. We will.definately be returning to the area and plan on staying here again, only for a longer stay for our next visit.
The property was great for a last minute weekend getaway. Location was central to other areas around. Great views. Cabin was well stocked and property owner was very responsive.
We stayed because the rental was close to our family. We could get together to enjoy each other, then retreat to our own space.

The house was very clean and cozy, all of my family enjoyed stay in this place, oustside there’s a little river, amazing views.
Definitely will come back.
Thank you for sharing your home with my family. We enjoyed the views and the close proximity to the river. We didn’t utilize the fire pit area, but it looked very nice. The location is so close to numerous restaurants and shopping. Our favorite hangout was at Chimney Rock Brewery. We had a very quiet and peaceful stay.
The cabin was just what we needed. It was quaint with plenty of room. We enjoyed the views. There was a burn ban in effect, so we missed the opportunity to enjoy a fire; but the fire pit area was very nice. We’d definitely stay again.
Good place to stay. The house was big and clean spacious we loved staying in it. I would’ve like a little more exterior space to play with my granddaughter. Other than that great place to stay.
The property was awesome. Drive way is a little trickier than the listing depicts, but manageable. Communication with property owner was easy. He was a great host. Would definitely come back.
We were a little bummed we didn't get to go tubing because of the weather. It was really accommodating for the teens and the dogs. Would definitely stay again.
This is our second year at this home which would tell you something. If you like cozy, quirky and homey, this is for you! Perfectly located and we love it! Hosts are great and very communicative!
We had a wonderful time in this lovely cabin. Everything about it was great. Lots of space, fabulous views from all windows. Equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We really appreciated the well equipped kitchen with coffee, snacks, condiments, etc. Excellent communication with the host. There is so much to see and do in this area and it's great to just chill out at the cabin with so many choices of deck areas and the firepit down by the river. We loved our stay here and hope to come back. Thank you, Kenny, for providing such a great place to stay
There’s really not enough words to describe this Beautiful Home, It is only minutes or a Stones throw away from one of our favorite spots (The Old Cider Mill), We have stayed in several different homes when we visit the area, but this was by far one of the very best as the view from the dining room is so beautiful ( Don’t forget to use the nice telescope) provided to get up close views of the Mountains, The host was extremely kind a pleasant to deal with and the home is just so cozy and lovely, I recommend this Property to anyone who wants to visit the Bat Cave, N.C., Chimney Rock, N.C. area or Lake Lure area, You want go wrong, I Promise.
Everything was great except the wifi didnt work. Otherwise awesome!!! Were not there to be on devices anyways. Thanks for an awesome time

We loved the home! We stayed five nights and It was cozy, the river was a plus for us! No complaints about the home or the host! He was very quick to respond to any questions/concerns. Our only concern was the wifi. When we stepped outside the house there was no signal, even inside the home, we weren’t able to do any outside calls unless it was through WhatsApp. Other than that, we definitely recommend this home! Thank you for everything!
We loved this home in Bat Cave! The home had everything we needed to make ourselves at home. Downstairs was a great place to gather in the evenings and play pool, watch tv, or open the french doors and enjoy the sounds of the stream at the bottom of the property. Rocky Broad River is within walking distance plus super short drive to Chimney Rock Village with a state park, shops and trails along the river. The driveway was steeper than expected so if you are from flat terrain, that might catch you by surprise. Also the roads leading to this location are very winding and take a while. But it is beautiful. I would stay here again! Our kids are 17 and 20, but younger kids would need watched with the water nearby and the yard is mostly sloped with only a little flat area. We asked the host a couple questions and he always answered quickly with great advice! Thanks!!
The Bat Cave is easily the coolest place to stay!!
We wanted a vacation that was fun, active, challenging, and memorable and this place in Bat Cave was a great choice for our temporary residence.
Things we loved: the house is super unique and interesting, including the locale. We navigated in and out ok in a 4WD standard size SUV. We loved having a terrace to sit on at night, watching the sun rise and the clouds burn off over the mountains in the morning. We were able to spend 5 full days doing different things every day. We visited Little Switzerland, drove the BRP, hiked Chimney Rock and Crabtree falls, toured the Biltmore, tubed on the French Broad, patronized four breweries, climbed the Chimney Rock Walk, played mini golf, kayaked on Lake Lure, and shopped the stores in charming Chimney Rock. There was something for each of us. We heeded all of Kenny's cautions about bears and had a safe, happy, bear-free trip.
The notes that we would pass onto other prospective renters. First, we wanted to use the fire pit, but didn't because of our fear of bears. Sad, but that's reality. Second, the bunk beds and third bedroom are separate from the rest of the house by a steep and uneven staircase to the basement. It worked out ok, but it's worth knowing in advance if you're traveling with small children who might want to use the bunk beds. Finally, for me, the lighting situation on the main level is sort of an issue. I spend my evenings reading and it was hard because the lighting on the main level was not good. mai
Property was as advertised, clean and functional. Close to where we needed to be and in a very quiet area. We drive a two-weel drive Suburban and I did find the state-maintained access road to the property a bit difficult but functional. I would rent this property again.
Property was in great location. The only complaint i have is the road leading up to the house. My truck made it fine but my son had some issues because of the huge holes in the gravel.
