Enjoy a 3 bed 2.5 bath mountain home with spectacular views of the rock bald and reedy patch creek below. House features two large decks and a patio. Three private bedrooms, two upstairs and one downstairs. A large basement includes a pool table, second living room and a set of bunkbeds. The dining room feels suspended in the trees and provides great birdwatching opportunities. Open layout of the kitchen and living room area allows everyone to gather around for meals, catch a sunrise, or watch the fog roll over the river. Five minute drive to Chimney Rock State Park and Lake lure area. Large fire pit area at bottom of the property sits beside the creek and provides a great place to gather and cook smores. 20 minute drive to Downtown Hendersonville. 30 min drive to Asheville. House has 5 TVs with multiple channels. High speed Wifi. Washer and dryer. Air conditioning and heat.

The cabin was very beautiful and accommodating. There was a really nice and functional kitchen with a variety of activities including bunches of games. The hot water was very surprising and lasting, possibly the best I’ve ever experienced in the mountains. The view was incredible and you can hear the creek from the cabin which was incredible at night. We were even able to watch the squirrels adventure close to the deck. I would certainly recommend an awd/ 4wd vehicle because of a steep and somewhat sharp turn towards the cabin. The one thing I would have enjoyed is if the rest of the windows had curtains/blinds for an added privacy but overall it was tucked just enough away for a personal oasis. We would certainly love to come again!!

We had a great stay in Bat Cave. It was the perfect location for us to travel between Chimney Rock and Gerton daily. The rooms were as described and just what we needed for 4 people to stay comfortably. We unfortunately didn't get to use alot of the amenities because the weather was bad or we were just too tired from our mission trip, but the place had a working kitchen, patios, fire pit and pool table that would have been amazing to use. The house is very big, complete with the laundry room, which we did use. Was a little hard to find. Had to have a local help us because GPS couldn't get us all the way there. Kenny is very responsive and easy to work with. A for the trip.

The cabin was just what we needed. It was quaint with plenty of room. We enjoyed the views. There was a burn ban in effect, so we missed the opportunity to enjoy a fire; but the fire pit area was very nice. We’d definitely stay again.

Thank you for sharing your home with my family. We enjoyed the views and the close proximity to the river. We didn’t utilize the fire pit area, but it looked very nice. The location is so close to numerous restaurants and shopping. Our favorite hangout was at Chimney Rock Brewery. We had a very quiet and peaceful stay.

This property was a nice place to stay. We could not figure out the heat situation for the downstairs, but we managed. There were locks on the fireplaces so that was a bummer since it was so cold. Overall it was a nice stay.

Helen, I wish you would have messaged me about the heat. The whole house is heated by a central air system. The upstairs also has heater boards as a secondary source of heat. When you turn up the heater boards it will over ride the thermostat because the house temp will be higher than the set temperature.

Wedding Weekend

Property was as advertised, clean and functional. Close to where we needed to be and in a very quiet area. We drive a two-weel drive Suburban and I did find the state-maintained access road to the property a bit difficult but functional. I would rent this property again.

Property was in great location. The only complaint i have is the road leading up to the house. My truck made it fine but my son had some issues because of the huge holes in the gravel.
