Beautiful Lake Charlevoix

Lake Charlevoix will be perfect for your next vacation. This Beach house is located on a wooded 10 acre lot.The first 300 feet of the water is just waist deep and pure sand bottom which provides warm water for leisurely swimming. A meandering creek and babbling brook, defines one side of the property and the other side is heavily wooded to insure the utmost privacy or you may choose to take long walks or jog along the beach.

Enjoy a nature walk or bike ride down private 1/4 mile private drive to Evergreen Lane and hunt for Petoskey Stones at Two Mile Point and take-in the panoramic sunset from the main body of Lake Charlevoix. Also just a short walk to the Castle which is rich in history and fully restored from the early 1900's, now a venue for history, art, antique and craft fairs. Only ten minutes to town.

At 17,000 acres, Lake Charlevoix is the third largest inland lake in Michigan with access to Lake Michigan. It is a great destination for boating, sailing, skiing, and fishing. The city of Charlevoix is 3 miles away with many excellent restaurants, shopping and public park w/concerts.

Amenities include a swing,dock, fire pit, bike path, basketbal, out door shower. 3 bedrooms with three queen size beds, the 4th room with four bunk beds. The dining table seats eight, plus a game table which seats four; many board games are available.

Beautiful spot with a great beach for the kids. House and shed were outfitted with everything needed to enjoy a week on the water. Little disappointed that the dock did not come all the way to the shore, like shown in the pics, but wasn’t a deal breaker by any means. Definitely stay here again.

Perfect Lakefront Escape

We can’t say enough good things about this perfect lakeside retreat. The house is very clean and stocked well with everything you may need. The lakefront lawn and beach are perfect for enjoying time outdoors. The location feels secluded even though the neighbors are nearby. The walking path through the neighborhood was a welcomed surprise and proximity to town is ideal. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic lake house

We spent a wonderful week enjoying this lake house. It had plenty of room for 3 adults and 4 teens. The location was excellent (5 minute drive to downtown Charlevoix) and the house itself was fully equipped with everything needed for a week at the lake. The highlights included: the view, the back deck and swings, the dock, the fire pit, the shed full of water toys and the neighborhood for morning walks and bike rides. We will definitely book this home again....I just hope it's available! Thank you Diane and Bob for opening your home for others to enjoy!

Lake Charlevoix

The view from the deck was beautiful, the yard was well groomed, the homes was well stocked. Just a couple things need some attention. The kayak paddle needs to be replaced, doesn’t work well just being duck taped together. Also the seat back of one kayak won’t stay up. With no central air it would be helpful to have overhead fans in all bedrooms and the living room. Also one of the larger burners on the stove doesn’t work. Despite these few things that need attention, we had a nice time.

Fantastic Experience

I’m so torn because I don’t want to convince others to come here so that our family can keep it to ourselves next summer!! Absolutely fantastic location with a very lovely home that is well kept by the owners. Packed with amenities. Our family cooked almost every night on the grill, made dinners easily in the kitchen for 6 people and enjoyed the pristine lakeside. Would strongly recommend to anyone except don’t try to take it when we want it next year!! :)

Another fantastic vacation at Chateau Moonbeam

Gorgeous setting, home, & view. Our 5th year, so they are doing everything right. But, if they can arrange to lower Lake Michigan they would get their beach back. So no beach! But beautifully manicured and large backyard.

Perfect for a week on the lake

The property was perfect for a week with three families with small kids. The lakefront is perfect and location is very convenient. The living quarters for three families were a little small if you have several smaller kids running around. Diane and Bob were great and the house was very well equipped to enjoy the lake.
