Beautiful opportunity to see the beach and bring a furry friend. Lovely back yard to sit out and relax. Only wish it was more into the summer season, as it was still chilly some days.

Perfect Weekend in Walnut Beach

We had an awesome trip to Walnut Beach! The place was perfect - great location, walking distance to the beach and boardwalk. Beautiful Fall Weekend

We had a party of 4 adult family members along with our mini golden doodle. The property was clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. We also enjoyed the gas fire place in the back yard. The fenced in yard was nice for our dog also. The property was in walking distance of pretty much anything you’d want and the beach was right there too. We would definitely rent this again. Loved this place! Clean, comfortable, and charming. It was perfect for a quiet family beach trip, and what really sets this place apart is the attention to detail put into the place -- all those little things that allow you to just relax and pretend you live by the beach (there is a *knife shapener*! do you know how many dull or even nonexistent knives I have struggled with in a vacation rental??). I enjoyed drinking my morning coffee by the koi, trying out the local restaurants and cafes, and of course Walnut Beach and Silver Sands. We would absolutely come back!!My only caveat would be that if you have any children who are not steady walkers on stairs, like many houses in this area the stairs can be tricky with one banister. Fine for any kiddos who are sure on the stairs but might require extra attention for a younger child learning to walk.

Loved everything about the house. Very colorful, clean, relaxing, I felt very much at home. The kitchen was well appointed. Spent lots of time relaxing on the lower front deck. Comfortable bed. All we can say is WOW!

This property was super clean and a cute charming home. The hosts have thought of everything you might possibly need to have a memorable experience . Every draw and cabinet is labeled as to its contents so there is no searching for anything. The fenced back yard was great for a small dog. The ice cream shop on the corner sells yummy treats. The Walnut Beach coffee shop around the corner was great for breakfast and lunch. But most importantly, the host is quick to respond to any request or inquiry and go out of her way to help you.

Needed Road Trip

This place was unbelievable clean and so tidy and organized even down to the so called junk draw that everyone has, except Laura and Danna....theirs was labeled!! And, so was everything, without having to open up every cabinet to find what you need. They also stocked extras of everything one needs. Heck, even the toilet was fun to use at night! Their house was so cool, too....the decks and the backyard with the sounds from the small pond as well as all the fun backyard stuff is there if you need. The neighborhood was so quiet and nice people saying hello. There is also plenty of things for everyone to do so close by. So, go ahead and book!

A Little Slice of Heaven

They say the "devil is in the detail", if that is so, then the devil is alive and well at Steps 2 Beach. This property is by far, one of the best rentals I've stayed at, opinion second by a teenager, so you know it must be so. The home is perfectly located mere steps from various small beaches and approximately four blocks from Walnut Beach, a beautiful, calm beache perfect for children. There are a number of good places to eat, including a delicious ice cream parlor about 100' from the house, and La Catrina, a Mexican spot around the corner. If you are too tired to eat out, order from "It's Just Wings" a local spot, so good! Laura, Dana and the property manager have gone through great lenghts to ensure that the guests' every need was met, From fluffy towels, to beach chairs, toiletries and every kitchen gadget imaginable, they even had doggy pantry! There was nothing better this week than seating in one of the porches, taking in the breeze under their cute palms. This little gem of a home has it all. We can't wait to come back!!!

Great place for family reunion

This home was perfect for us - four adult siblings (some with partners) and adult children in their 20s for a reunion following a family event. There were enough bedrooms and bathrooms (2 private and 2 shared full baths plus a powder room) and the main floor has a nice big kitchen for food preparation. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms nice and clean and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking for a large group. We were able to add extra chairs from the kitchen so all 10 of us could eat together in the dining room. The living room was a great place for hanging out, playing games, completing jigsaw puzzles and visiting. The back deck/porch makes this property a beautiful and relaxing place - - it is large with enough seating for several groups to sit out and chat while enjoying the view of the salt marsh (with lots and lots of birds) and the ocean beyond. The neighborhood was quiet and the location at the end of the road, felt somewhat secluded and private. While we did not use the backyard it would be a good place for corn hole or other backyard games. We found two cut-throughs to walk to the rocky beach which was nice for walks. Walking on the shore away from Pt. Judith led to a sandier beach. We were here in early June mid-week and it was virtually empty. We enjoyed dinner out at George's restaurant and and a ferry trip over to Block Island to stroll about there and see the small museum. We had a very good experience and would definitely return.

Perfect House in a Perfect Location

We really enjoyed our recent stay at Devon! We were laying over for a week between bookend trips in the Boston and Bridgewater, NJ areas and wanted to find a place where I could work while my wife explored the area. Unfortunately, the weather (remnants of recent hurricane) didn't cooperate with exploration, but the house had plenty of space for me to work and for her to watch TV, read, etc. during the day. The house itself was well stocked, with comfortable furniture and beds. It is an older home, but that added to the coziness and charm. Everything in the home worked as expected and wifi was excellent for a week of working. Again, due to the weather, we weren't able to take advantage of the outdoor amenities, but the backyard looked like a great place to spend a relaxing evening by the fire, especially during cooler fall nights. The house was located in a perfect place, a block from the water. Lots of great restaurants in the area where we decided to try a lobster roll each day of our stay to find the best (Seven Seas Restaurant was our favorite on this trip) since we were stuck inside due to the weather. Plenty of grocery options in the area as well allowed us to get a few things for breakfast and lunch so we could plan one meal out each day. We did get a break in the weather for the final day and did some walking around the area. We were able to take a nice, long walk down on the beach to the Silver Sands - Walnut Beach boardwalk to the far edge of the park to enjoy the sunshine and warmer temperatures. Lots of shells on the beach, too. We grabbed our final lobster roll from The Lazy Lobster and also checked out the small wine shop around the corner. There were a few other small coffee shops and ice cream parlor, but with the weather and turn to fall weather, their hours were limited. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would like to plan a return trip during warmer (and drier) weather to enjoy more of what the area has to offer.
