Enjoyed my stay! Host was amazing!

The host Terri was amazing! Check in process was smooth and easy. She had great communication if I needed anything and also recommended great food places. The room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Pool and hot tub area is a great place to relax. Great location in downtown Honolulu! Parking garage was convenient and easy to access! Great place for a single on vacation!

Very clean and great location

The spot was very clean upon arrival. The place is small, so definitely just for one person. The bed is right next to the door and is decent. If you are a light sleeper the elevator noise may be bothersome, I'm not the heaviest sleeper but it rarely bothered me. If you are used to a firmer bed, it is a softer mattress topper. There was space in two medium sized cabinets for clothes, one with hangers and one for folded items. There are pans and utensils for cooking and the full size fridge is great for food storage. There is no light in the shower, but the sink counter space is great for all your skincare, etc. The parking is on the 10th level, you enter the parking on the 3rd so it's a bit of a drive up and down leaving and coming, adds about 4-7 minutes to a commute. Luckily you rarely get stuck behind anyone (I was there for over two weeks). And free parking downtown is a total score. Pool access is great too, within the same building, decently sized lap pool and partially shaded most of the time. Enjoyed my time here for family celebrations because of the great location.

Bugs and rotting food in the microwave, sleeping on uncomfortable futon, lying host.

when I arrived to the island I had a meal plan in mind and went to the store immediately. It was advertised to have a functioning kitchen and I was excited to do a little meal prep. I got my groceries there only to find out that the stovetop wasn’t working and I didn’t know why. I messaged the host- no answer. I go to check the microwave and upon opening it bugs flew out because there was rotting food in the microwave. The functioning kitchen was not functioning. The microwave was disgusting and I wasn’t prepared to clean that mess and deal with bugs in this tiny apartment. Also don’t overlook the fact that there’s no windows, you have no idea what time it is in there. The money I “saved” by staying there was definitely not worth my peace and being frustrated over. Plus I had to spend triple what I planned to spend on food because I bought things like pasta and was going to make sauce. Can’t cook that in an air fryer, as suggested by the host when she finally answered me 5 days into my 7 day trip. I was livid, she didn’t answer me for my whole trip and then tells me to just use the air fryer or clean her moldy disgusting microwave. She offered me a $150 refund but I haven’t recieved a penny or any word about how due will be giving my money back but this disgusting experience has definitely put a bad taste in my mouth for vrbo
