Clean and Tidy

Convenient location. Easy to get around, close to train station and underground. Coffee shops and restaurants close by. The apartment was very tidy, clean, and comfortable.

Great location, nice apartment

My husband and I visited with our adult daughter. There is a subway station and a grocery store literally steps from the apartment, and it’s close to the a UBahn station. The apartment is super comfortable and was great for our 3 night stay!

Communication was terrible. I sent two requests a day prior to the stay about minor items like the type of coffee pot, etc. No response. Pictures are deceptive - they are a compilation of pictures from various apartments, only a few are from this actual listing. Sofa bed is awful, not at all comfortable for adults and a stretch for children. When in use, there is no option for family gatherings as it takes up the entire living room area. Location was great, amenities near by and walking distance to dining, subway, markets. It was clean. Only 1 window in each room is unlocked and available to open, thankfully it was cool enough to not need A/C as there wasn’t anything on the listing to indicate we wouldn’t have that, in fact it’s listed under “popular amenities” and “our prices include all fees”, but the machine in the bedroom wouldn’t work. A lot of street noise throughout the entire night. Laundry amenities are shared with another apartment that you also share an entry with. It wasn’t terrible, but there are surely better options.

Landlord from Hell

I've stayed at many, many properties through Vrbo and this is the worst experience I've ever had. The listing is inaccurate, you can try calling the landlord and he won't answer, don't expect any help. He gaslit me claiming I'd agreed to an apartment with no air conditioning, despite it being in the 90s F, which I hadn't, and when I demanded proof, he showed me some listing from a completely different website. After I proved to him he'd made the mistake, he still refused to do anything about it, so we were left to swelter in an apartment with not even a fan in it during a heat wave. The wifi also went out constantly The apartment itself is nice, but personally I wouldn't stay again for free!

Thank you for the kind review. We are always happy to receive constructive criticism through which we can optimize our apartments. Unfortunately, you can not satisfy every guest. We rent six apartments in the center of Munich. Three of them are equipped with air conditioning in the bedroom. On our homepage and on all booking platforms, we explicitly point out that the air conditioning and underground parking can be added on request for a fee. Unfortunately, Kelly did NOT BOOK the AIR CONDITIONING and was not willing to pay for it. In order to provide guests with a comfortable stay, we activated the air conditioning for FREE. For our courtesy and efforts we now have this extremely poor rating. It is very sad, but at least Kelly thought our apartment was very nice! Werner cityhomemunich.com

Munich apartment

The apartment was clean, well equipped, and well-located, about a 20-30 minute walk from a lot of important attractions and less than 10 minutes from the Hauptbahnhof, It is just steps from a good grocery store and subway entrance. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was very nice (good shower). The kitchen was well-equipped and nice. The most difficult aspect of the stay was communication with the host, who did not seem eager to help or accomodate any specific questions or requests. The number of people changed from three to two during my 9-day stay, and though we knew this from the beginning, he was not willing to adjust the price to reflect that. The door codes were not very secure (easy to guess -- but also easy to remember!), and the front door of the building did not have a secure lock. The apartments facing the street have a lot more noise than the apartment facing the courtyard. Air-conditioning is listed as an amenity, but you must make arrangements for this in advance, and there is an uncharge. I would stay again, bearing in mind that the host will not be of much help. Despite that, the apartment was still a good value and very good location.

Munich Week

The rental is lovely. The only thing we were disappointed in was that absolutely nothing of a warm welcome is there. No coffee, salt-pepper, oil for cooking, etc. All of our other hosts left some munchies, fruit, etc. They did respond very quickly to a leak in kitchen sink tho.
