About this property
Kozy Kabin in the woods near trails & lakes!
The Kozy Kabin is located in a woodsy neighborhood of northern Michigan, on the outskirts of Hillman towards Atlanta. Just a quarter mile away from the ORV trailhead at end of the street with some of Michigan's best trails for ATV's, dirt bikes, UTV's and snowmobiles. You can ride directly from the Kozy Kabin to the trails. There should be plenty of room to park your truck/trailer and additional cars in the driveway as well. Surrounded by 1,000s of acres of state land just across the street, this is the perfect location for your outdoor getaway! Atlanta is known as the 'Elk Capital' of Michigan, and we've seen plenty on the trails around the Kozy Kabin, along with deer, bear, fox, coyotes, etc. There are dozens of amazing lakes nearby: Avalon Lake, Long Lake, Fletcher Pond, etc! The Thunder Bay golf course is a few minutes away in Hillman. Don't forget your ORVs, hunting gear, hiking clothes, fishing poles, snowmobiles, boats, jet skis, kayaks, golf clubs, & the dogs! There is no shortage of outdoor activities to do when you're staying at the Kozy Kabin!
We call it the Kozy Kabin for a reason! It's a one room open floor plan with a full kitchen and bathroom. There are two futons that turn into full size beds, each with brand new mattress toppers to make them more kozy! You'll also have twin bunkbeds for more sleeping space. All blankets and linens are provided. There is a smart TV with DVD player and a selection of movies. (There is currently no wifi at the Kozy Kabin but you can hook up the tv to a mobile hotspot to use the roku and smart tv features, most cell providers get good service here) The bathroom has a shower stocked with toiletries and luxury towels (please note the bathroom space is very "kozy" and compact, but we have plans for an addition to make the bathroom larger in the future). The kitchen has everything you need to cook, along with a coffee maker & coffee/tea provided! There is a wall furnace for the fall/winter months to keep it nice & warm. Outside you'll have a patio table and BBQ grill for enjoying the outdoors. A great fire pit area with adirondack chairs to enjoy the evening with friends & family. Some firewood provided (more available for purchase if you run out). Dogs are always welcome, but please make sure to include that you are bringing them in your reservation and clean up after them. There is a designated poop shovel in or near the shed. Please do not leave any land mines in the yard, but the woods is fine!
There is no smoking or vaping inside of the Kozy Kabin, but you are welcome to smoke outside. Please do not dispose of cigarette butts on the ground. If there are any signs of smoking inside there will be an additional cleaning charge to your stay.
You'll have full access to the entire Kozy Kabin, minus the utility closet in the bathroom. If for any reason you need to access the electric panel in there, we are only 10 minutes away to come unlock it. The shed in the backyard does have a lock on it, and the key is hanging on the coat hook for use.

Loved the warmness of yhe house and the cozy feel. The house was very clean and instructions were clear. We will definitely be staying again in the future.
I stayed at the cottage in February to do some coyote hunting. The driveway was clear of snow, the inside was clean, warm, and offered exactly what was described.
Kozy kottage is better than cozy. Clean, comfortable and well supplied we could not have asked for a better place. I wish we had stayed several extra days. This adorable place was perfect for us and our dogs.
Kozy Kabin was the perfect place to stay for a weekend up north. The place is extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. All details were understood well before check in. Owner is prompt to address questions about the rental.
We enjoyed our stay at the Kozy Cabin. It's location, just a few miles from Hillman and the Thunder Bay Golf Resort was ideal. Additionally, we really liked the size of the yard. This made it an excellent spot since we brought our dog with us. And with this, thanks for having a long dog leach already staked to the ground for us to use.
I am obsessed with this cabin and cannot wait to return! The hosts were very accomidating when we had a vehicle issue. The cabin itself is just as described, and was a perfect spot to hit the reset button! Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful space!

Super clean, lots of stars in the night sky.
This was a great spot for our short getaway. It was clean and accommodating. It’s nice to be secluded and to have hot running water. The back yard with the fire pit is nicely set up.
The place is nice and woodsy like and the yard is great. House is smaller than we expected with sleeping 6. Luckily only 4 of us and still was crowded. Bathroom really small. Shower was really nice.
Super cute, clean cabin. Less than a mile from family I wanted to visit. We were not at the cabin long but when we were we enjoyed the peace and quiet. We loved that it was pet friendly, even though circumstances prevented us from bringing our dogs.
Thank you!!!
Kozy Cabin was perfect. Nice kitchen, with clean appliances and dinnerware. It's out in the woods, a couple of minutes from town, so there was no internet but the top drawer of the chest by the bunkbed was loaded with DVDs and I saw four new movies that I loved. Plenty of parking space, large yards front and back, with a beautiful campfire circle of adirondak chairs. The truly amazing part of this place is the incredible knotty pine interior, and the master-craft level trim work, that even uses sisal rope as a caulk to fill joints. Especially big compliments on the design of the interior, making use of every bit of space to offer options without ever making it feel crowded. It was obvious that a lot of thought went into making it a truly Kozy Kabin.
