This was the BEST family vacation we have ever been able to have! The lake and the house are seriously beautiful! Perfect beach for our littles and tons of fun for us adults! Will be coming back for sure!!! Thank you guys so much!
We truly had the best time, even though the weather wasn’t great. The host thought of everything. Even the ping-pong table in the garage worked out great during the rain! We hope to be back next year.

Thank you! We are glad you loved this beautiful lake and treated our home as if it was yours.
First the lake! It’s super clear and shallow for yards. Easy for water sports and young children. Get up early and SUP or swim or row in peace. Then the hosts thought of everything. There was every kind of floating device to play with and life jackets if needed. The home was perfect for us. My elderly folks could have the master sweet with no stairs and we could be downstairs and not bother them. It was a peaceful lovely long weekend and we’d love to come back.

Thank you so much. I am so glad you loved this beautiful lake. Can’t wait for your return.
Lake Avalon is amazing! Don't let the secret out! The cottage was even nicer than the photos, great location on one of the most beautiful, clearest, sandy bottom lakes. Shallow water quite a ways out, great for floating and would be great for small children. Past the shallows is an area that is 3' - 4' deep or so, great for swimming and exploring underwater, my youngest grandson spent a lot of time in his goggles swimming there. We brought floaties with us, they had a lily pad you could use along with a paddleboard, kayak and rowboat. In the evening while we enjoyed our bonfire next to the lake we also enjoyed the great view of the stars and I'm pretty sure the Milky Way! We explored the waters off the dock in the evening with flashlights/headlamps looking for minnows and crawdaddy's (we only saw 3 crawdaddy's the whole time but quite a few minnows). Washer and dryer was great to have. The kitchen was nicely stocked with everything you might need. You can leave the beach towels home too they have a lot! One day was a bit dreary so we took a drive to check out the Ocqueoc Falls near Rogers City, got some ice cream in Rogers City then went up to Mackinaw City for dinner. Mackinaw City is a little over an hour away so a nice day trip. We also went to Alpena for shopping, about 30 minutes away. They do have a paddleboat which I was hoping to use but it seemed to have water inside on one side so it wasn't floating evenly. All in all a great place for a relaxing vacation!
