The view was beautiful! We stayed in March and it was too windy and cold to fish but we enjoyed the cottage and location. Food Lion, Target and Starbucks were close. We ate at the cottage but there is a Cracker Barrel and other restaurants a short drive away. We had geese and deer in the yard everyday. Nice vacation spot!
My husband and I and our bunny stayed here the hottest week of the year for 4 nights and we were grateful to have been kept cool with no issues. The A/C in this unit has been well tested. The condo is secluded and private with all types of wildlife present. We saw deer, a black squirrel, a bunny, birds galore, etc. The unit was clean and cool when we checked in. Check-in was super easy as was check out. The pictures of this condo are 100% accurate. The view is so beautiful you won't want to leave. We loved sitting out on the deck in the evening as it cooled.
We needed to de-stress and this bay-side home gave us all the peace and quiet we needed. It sits on a huge grassy lawn that slopes down to a dock. Geese and osprey kept us company, while motor noise was almost non-existent. It is still close to many amenities and historic towns, but tucked away from the hustle and bustle.
There were a few things that needed attention, and Julie, the property manager, responded right away with great courtesy. We loved our stay.
My husband and I stayed here for a quick weekend getaway to celebrate our anniversary. We appreciated the host being able to accommodate us an earlier check in and later check out time to maximize our short time away. They only charged us a small fee. The place was clean. So clean that I didn't feel I needed to wipe anything down, which is usually the case when we go to other places. The view was stunning and we had nice weather. We loved being able to walk out onto the dock as well as sit out on the deck. There was a large group of people staying in the home next door that were loud when outside, but that was the only thing that disrupted our tranquil location. We appreciated just being able to sit on the couch and watch TV or sit outside and read. It was all quite perfect, and we are still reminiscing of our time here.

Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, listing accuracy
Kent be for real!
It’s truly disheartening to see a location with such potential marred by neglect and a lack of attention to detail. Imagine arriving at a place that promises comfort and relaxation, only to be greeted by the unfortunate sight of dead pigeons and debris, which surely doesn’t wing it for a pleasant stay! The outdated amenities, such as polyester sheets and filthy floors—evidenced by our blackened sock—are a far cry from the comfort one deserves in today’s world. It’s 2025, and the absence of a dishwasher feels like a step back in time; not to mention the peril of navigating unlit stairs at night! The promise of purified water turned out to be a mirage, leaving guests parched while waiting for water bottles that took three days to arrive. And with a loose toilet seat and a shabby couch, it’s no wonder guests feel like they are just winging it. A thorough cleaning and renovation are not just necessary; they’re vital to restore this unit to its rightful glory—because a great view shouldn’t be the only thing that takes your breath away!
