This our 2nd year renting the house for our group. We love the location and having everything we need right around us. The house is always clean and ready to go when we get there and the host is very easy to work with. We'll be back next year!
The property manager was very rude and the location is next door to a drug house. There also was gunshots being fired next door.. I also was having trouble with gaining access into the house

We are sorry to hear you felt this way. However, all of our interactions were pleasant until your party and you checked out of the home and left our property trashed, then proceeded to lie about the damages. Troubles checking into the home were after check-out when your access code was no longer active. Otherwise, the multiple times you opened and closed the front door while you were hosting parties would suggest access to the home was easy. The neighbors are majority elder individuals, however, you left evidence of your drugs in the home. The gunshots you speak of were also probably the fireworks from NYE. We wish you the best, however, we would not host your party again and we have also notified VRBO & other owners.
Cons: This trip was a huge disappointment. We were all so excited to be staying in this nice, beautiful home. We arrived about 10pm, my husband was already feeling unsafe as we drove into the neighborhood. People roaming around by parked cars and down the street. We ended up finding the home but were nervous to walk from our car to the house. We didn't even like to leave our car out front as we were afraid it would be vandalized or broke into. There is a garage out back which would have made us feel better, but we have a suburban which won't fit (the garage size was disclosed in the description, so we were prepared for that). Even feeling unsafe, my husband considered staying until he noticed a door to the basement which is not able to be locked from the main floor of the home. There is also a door to the outside from the basement, and not knowing what was down there or if someone could enter the home from the exterior basement door, we just didn't feel safe enough to stay. We ended up having to go find a hotel in a better part of town and spend an extra $1K on top of what we spent on this rental.
Pros: The home itself is huge and beautiful. It was also very clean. Natalia was very easy to communicate with and was very helpful with suggestions of things to do/places to eat.
I gave 3 stars because of the neighborhood and the fact that we didn't feel safe enough to stay.
Beautifully appointed and renovated house with high ceilings and all the amenities.
Gorgeous house. Every appliance and plumbing fixture appeared brand new while retaining the old molding to keep the feel of the house. Street parking was available at all times of night and day. My full size pickup wouldn’t fit in the garage but I think most cars would. Nice relaxing stay and we were within minutes of all the St. Louis sights.
Our group was in town for a dart tournament and found this rental because we were looking to stay near the Grove. This house was the best! The location is great and it's nice to have a secured garage. We had no problem finding parking right out front but still liked having the secured garage because we had a high end motorcycle in our group and they felt better knowing it was in there. That was just a piece of mind thing. The neighborhood was great and we felt totally comfortable there. We met the neighbors and there dog jack too. The backyard is a nice place to just sit and relax in the evenings. We will be looking to rent this same house every year for the tournament from now on.
