About the host
Hosted by Julie Ahlborn
Welcome to our family ranch—where memories are made, laughter is shared, and the peaceful spirit of the Uintah Basin surrounds you. For over 35 years, we've been coming here as a family to fish, hike, and bike, and now we're honored to share this special place with you.
Why they chose this property
We love how quiet it is out at the ranch. It really is a nice place to get away from the "rat race" of life. That's why Grandma and Grandpa bought this ranch house in the 1960's when Grandpa retired as a Fire Chief. They enjoyed raising horses, cows, chickens, dogs, cats, peacocks, turkeys, ducks and geese!
What makes this property unique
Step into a simpler time—where comfort, creativity, and connection come together. This spacious 6-bedroom, 2.5-bath home is perfect for large families or groups of friends looking to relax, reconnect, and make lasting memories in a warm, nostalgic setting.
Inside, you'll find cozy, inviting spaces filled with personal touches—including original artwork created by our own family. Shelves stocked with hundreds of classic DVDs, Smart TVs, and a large collection of board and card games set the scene for laughter-filled evenings. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to whip up hearty, home-style meals—coffee maker, crock pots, pots, pans, utensils, and more—all with a comforting, farmlike vibe.
Outside, gather under the large covered pavilion or around the backyard fire pit for s’mores and stories under the stars. A second-floor deck with a propane fire feature offers the perfect spot to enjoy a quiet morning coffee or a cozy evening chat. Traveling with pets? They're welcome here! We’ve even built a dedicated dog kennel in the fenced pavilion area so your furry friends can enjoy the space too.
Whether you're cooking, playing games, or simply enjoying each other’s company, this home is designed for slowing down and savoring the moments that matter most. Come experience the charm, comfort, and creativity of our family-friendly retreat—and make yourself at home.
