Great location
Perfect location for a family reunion nearby. Cabin was rustic, charming but in need of overall cleanliness and basic supplies (kitchen cookware, linens, toiletries and window screens, and outdoor seating) we enjoyed our time at Wild Winds!
Rokko is great to work with. The cabin met our needs for a couple guys to snowmobile around the Gaylord area.

Otsego is a great county for snowmobilers! The Wild Winds offers a place to park your trailers, and snowmobile trails start at the top of our driveway!
We stayed at the bigger cottage and there was plenty of room for myself and 6 friends. Property is very well maintained and quiet. Owners onsite were very friendly. Would love to stay again in the future.
A short but very pleasant gateway. We really enjoyed the location. The cabin had everything we needed, the lake and outside landscapes were just stunning. Unfortunately it was too windy and chilly to enjoy boats and swimming, hopefully we’ll return one day. Thanks for hosting us!
We stayed for just four days last year and loved it so much we added a few days for this year. I have now made my reservations for next year and we are adding more days. The cabin if beautiful, the folks are friendly and helpful. I love this place and we will continue to come as long as it is available. Thank you Rokko:)

We love your coming back year after year! See you in 2020!
Very rustic cabin, but comfortable and welcoming. This cabin is quite close to other cabins but we had plenty of privacy. Owners allowed us to fish, have a bonfire, and light fireworks on the 4th of July. The owners dog, Gunner, ran around and kept us company. Extremely accommodating when I asked for extra day and extra person staying with us. Only downside was lack of cooking utensils, hand soap, and no paper towels/trash bags. I would definitely add a few more outdoor chairs since this cabin accommodates 9 people and only had 4 outside chairs.

Beautiful and private lake front property
We stayed at the "honeymoon" cabin for two days and enjoyed every bit of our stay. The owner has had the property in his family for decades and knows the property very well. We really enjoyed using the paddle boats and canoes for no extra charge. The sunsets over the lake were amazing. We saw lots of wild life and enjoyed fires in the evening. We highly recommend this VRBO. My only advice is bring some bug spray to keep the bugs at bay.

If you like a quiet place surrounded by nature's beauty, this is for you! It was great to have you visit; come back soon!
The pictures were dated and did not represent our cabin well. There were some minor maintenance issues but overall we had a very restful time and enjoyed running our dogs on their trails.

Glad you had a restful time! I have updated the pictures.
We stayed at the wild winds for a week. It was a great property very secluded which we love but still very close to a lot of awesome stuff to do. It was a nature lovers paradise had lots of trails in the woods that were beautiful. We went to Torch lake, Lake Michigan and a bunch of other cool beaches all within a hour drive or you can just stay at the cabin and enjoy the beautiful Wequas lake right out your front door. The owner was very professional and great to work with. We will definitely be going back in the future.

Remote & rustic
There is no internet or phone access. (That can be a blessing or curse.) The lake is peaceful. Rocco was nice. It was too rustic & remote for our needs, as we had intended to work remotely.

I am glad you had a peaceful time at the lake!
Folks who intend to work remotely from the Wild Winds, please check with me first, as we have been promised high-speed fiber-optic internet--but the delivery date is uncertain!! Until then, our internet will be the best available out in the woods, but not matching up with you may be used to. Hopefully we will get the strong internet soon...

very rustic
The cabin was very rustic. Peaceful lake but the road in is dirt and rough. Internet was not available. Kitchen was furnished with most everything and nice to have washer and dryer. Quite and relaxing with wooded paths and lakes. Not for the person looking for high-end accommodations.

Disappointed
Good location, very nice hosts, attention to detail on housekeeping needs greatly improved.listing very deceiving.not what we expected when we arrived at all.
We needed a place to relax after a day of snowmobiling in Gaylord and this home fit the bill perfectly. Spacious and charming it was like we were time-warped back to the 50's/60's. The original cabin, along with the addition, allowed the four of us plenty of room for sleeping and lounging.
It was a pleasure to meet the owner and get the history of the property. He was very informative and easily accessible if needed. Our winter trip was awesome and I know we'll be back in the summer to enjoy the lake. Overall a great weekend in a great home!
Beautiful surroundings, extremely rustic and very peaceful. Property owner and occupants very friendly. Shallow lakes for row boating and canoeing, not great for fishing. Property cluttered with various assortment of debris. Cabin neglected and in disrepair. The surrounding property has beautiful and well maintained trails. In total, the old cabin has much potential with some love and rehab.
