Cabin was awesome, very clean and cozy. Right around the corner from the lake if you bring a boat like we did. Deck and hot tub make enjoying being outside very easy. Would recommend highly.
Cute cabin with outdoor hot tub, peaceful location, AMAZING host!!
We loved this little cabin, great location and stocked with tons of stuff in case you forgot anything. The host for this cabin was responsive, supportive, and thoughtful. The hot tub on the deck was perfect, even in zero degree weather! We will definitely be booking with Dorene again!
I've stayed at other places and this is the first time giving a review because it was perfect. Not one complaint. Highly recommend. Thank you so much for the hospitality!!

We appreciate you staying! It was a pleasure hosting Amy!
fantastic weekend getaway to snowmobile in Michigan. Easy access to the trails. day trip up to the bridge and the UP. Great location. Check in was super easy. Renter was quick to respond to any questions we had. The cottage was stocked with anything you could need. Hot tub was a bonus! We are ready to go again!
Cute cabin and clean. Awesome hot tub. One of the nicer hot tubs. Liked how they stocked the house with essentials if needed. Nice area. Only 2 complaints is the air conditioner. We all had to leave our doors open to get air but was not efficient enough. We woke each other up when we got up to go to bathroom . Did not sleep well thru week due to mugginess and hot. No air flow. Also first bedroom's bed , my oldest slept here was noisy and uncomfortable. My youngest was supposed to sleep with him but he chose to sleep on couch instead.

The days were hot since middle of summer but the nights get down to 50 degrees, we open the windows at night, then close up the house during the day, keeps it nice and cool, air conditioner is only in the living room window to cool cabin in the main area, we also have fans, not sure why the guest did not let the cool fresh 50 degree weather in the cabin, we sleep like babies, it's cold in our house in the morning. We added the air conditioner as an extra amenity for our guests who mostly appreciate it, just didn't expect it give an issue. Update: we replaced the bed in question just today, July 28
Perfect location. Not too far away from all my favorite places in Upper Northern Michigan. We spent time in Gaylord, Petoskey, and spent a day boating on Lake Charlevoix. Lake Arrowhead is a great association and we loved the pool and park. The owner Dorene was very nice and accommodating. I would definitely stay at one of her rental properties again.
Nice cottage, location was very peaceful and relaxing. Association pool was nice.

Liked: Check-in, communication, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness
Pretty busy road for a resort cottage.
When you're in the hot cub, you are 12 ft from the road that leads to boat launch. There's a 25 mile an hour speed limit that apparently isn't followed by anybody. The dust kicked up from passerby covers the hot tub, the deck, the table, your car, etc.
There are an awful lot of rules for the people staying here. You have to clean your own bedding and your own dishes. Which leaves me to wonder what the cleaning crew cleans. They were cob webs in every room of the house, and spiders in half of the corners, including in the bathtub. The dirt under the sofa in the living room was crazy deep. Lastly, the hot tub had sand and pine needles in it.
If it weren't for the things mentioned above, this would be a great place to stay.

Road is 45' from hot tub not 12' and cabin sits high up and road is down below. Cabin sits on a hill....The dirt roads get brine on them when brine is available. We had no rain for over a month. Drought was everywhere in USA actually at time of this guest stay. Weekends tend to be more busy than weekdays in neighborhood since homes in neighborhood are mostly 2nd homes. We only ask guests to clean their dishes obviously, no one leaves dirty dishes (no dishwasher) and toss towels in washer and if any room left in washer with towels, toss in the sheets. We personally check the cabin prior to guest stay and assist with cleaning always. If there was a cobweb, it may have been missed, we all tend to look at cleaning at eye level, we will look up more. I've never seen a spider but we are in the woods. Every past guest has loved our cabin but this guest was set off about dusty roads or something which don't happen much, we had no rain and beginning of season, no big tank trucks can spread brine due to frost laws in Northern Michigan this past season, grounds were still semi -frozen, we had over 16" of ice on the lakes past winter so thaw laws were not lifted yet. We dust under the beds and couch, there was no pine needles or sand in the hot tub prior to their stay but was when they checked out. Was taken back by his brashness and exaggerations.
